Yami Marik informs the group that not even Pegasus was able to read the text on the card, so when he made the card, he wrote the text in an invisible ink, only able to be seen on the card when played. Yami Yugi realises that Yami Marik wanted Mai to take the Winged Dragon of Ra, and that he set up the whole duel.
Mai ends her turn by setting Gravity Bind facedown. Marik summons Holding Legs(800/600), and uses its effect to return Mai's trap card to her hand. He then explains that when Holding Arms and Holding Legs are on the field together, they combine their effects to summon the Sacred Stone of Ouja. As the stone appears behinf Mai, Holding Arms and Holding Legs trap Mai to the stone. Mai is amazed at the power of the hologram, and Yami Marik tells her that in the Shadow Realm, everything is much more than a hologram.
Mai feels the full force of the Holding Legs and Holding Arms attack reducing her life points to 800. Joey cals out to her, but before he can do anything Yami Marik starts chanting to release the Winged Dragon of Ra:
Great beast of the sky, please hear my cry,
Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight,
Envelop the desert with your glow and cast your rage upon my foe,
Unlock your powers deep within so that together we may win,
Appear in the Shadow Game as I call your name.......
Winged Dragon of Ra
As the chant is completed, thhe Winged Dragon of Ra appears(5400/3900). Seeing the ultimate power of the egyptian god card, Yami Yugi realises the attack will destroy Mai, so he tells Yami Marik to stop, for his dispute is with him. But Yami Marik is having to much fun to stop, and wants to cause the pharoah pain.
Yami Marik orders the Winged Dragon of Ra to attack, but Joey jumps onto the field and tries to save Mai. Unable to free Mai from the locks, he tells Mai that she was in her dream. Mai finally sees Joey, and tells him to save himself. Joey refuses to leave, and as the egyptian god's attack is unleashed upon the two friends, Yami Yugi jumps onto the field and gets in the way of the attack.
Hoping that he will defeat the pharoah, Yami Marik is surprised to see Yami Yugi still alive from the attack. Yami Yugi falls down, hurt from the attack. Yami Marik tells the judge to announce that he is the winner, because all of Mai's life points are gone, and the judge does.
Joey tries to awake the unconcious Yugi, and Yami Marik walks over, unhappy with Joey. He tells him not to intefere with Shdow Games, and freezes Joey with a spell. He walks over to Mai, and telling her that they had a deal, sends her into the Shadow Realm.
Mai finds herself trapped in an hourglass, and sees all her friends on a beach, playing. She calls out to them, but they do not hear her. Yami Marik appears next to Mai, and tells her that she will be trapped for all eternity in the Shadow Realm, and will stay lonely forever. Yami Marik disappears.
Mai's body lifelessly fall, and Marik walks off. Joey gets angry, and prepares to attack Yami Marik, but Serenity tells him not to. Joey stops, and Yami Marik walks off. Yami Yugi wakes up, and the gang gets worried about Mai. Mokuba contacts Seto, and tells him that there wsa more text on the card than just what Yami Marik said. Kaiba tells the gang to clear the field, because he is dueling next.
