Friends 'Til the End(4)
Joey told Yugi that he was about to lose. Yugi refused to beleive it, still hoping that the real Joey was fighting. Marik then ordered Joey to play Meteor of Destruction. The gang watched from the sidelines, searching for a way to help Yugi and Joey. Mokuba asked Seto if he could at least save Tea since Tea had helped him escape from the rare hunters. Seto got on his intercom connected to his coat and said something. Meanwhile, Yugi called out to Joey again. As Joey prepared to play Meteor of Destruction, he began to remeber his past. Images of Duellist Kingdom and Battle City flooded through his mind. He remembered again how he promised to help Yugi beat Marik and the rare hunters. Yugi sensed that the real Joey was no back in control. Yugi shouted out to Marik that he no longer had control of Joey, so even if Joey won, Marik would not be able to claim the Milleniun Puzzle and Slifer the Sky Dragon. Marik then used his Millenium Rod to take full control of Joey, forcing him to play Meteor of Destruction.
As the meteor headed towards Yugi, the real Joey broke free of Marik's control. Yugi was pleased, but realised that the meteor was about to hit him. Activating Magic Ref Panel, Yugi delayed the meteor from hitting him. Joey was confused at what was going on. Yugi explained that Marik had taken over his mind, but their friendship had broken the power of the Millenium Rod. While the two friends reunited, the KaibaCorp helicoptor flew from nowhere on autopilot. It flew towards the crate over Tea's head. As the rare hunter prepared to press the switch, Seto drew the top card of his deck, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and threw it at the rare hunter. The rare hunterwas knocked down. The helicoptor then hit the crate, sending it hurling into the sea. The gang then ran over to Tea and freed her from the chair.
However, Yugi and Joey still had to duel each other. Yugi told Joey to take care of his puzzle. Yugi then ordered the Mystical Ref Panel to aim the meteor at him. As the meteor hit Yugi, it wiped out the rest of his life points, opening Joey's box. Joey saw the key. With only theiry seconds before the anchor drops, Joey refused to allow his friend to lose. He remebered that Meteor of Destruction allowed one of his opponent's monsters attack him, so Joey ordered the Red-Eyes to destroy the rest of his life points. Yugi's box opened. Serenity realised that her brother needed her more than ever right now, so she took off her bandages.  With only ten seconds left, Joey dropped the Millenium Puzzle and used the chain to swing over to Yugi's side of the field. He grabbed Yugi's key, The timer then reached zero, pulling Yugi and him down into the water. As the two were pulled deeper and deeper, Joey used the key and freed Yugi. Yugi floated back to the top. Tristin pulled him out. Mokuba then realised that Joey had never grabbed his own key. As Tristin went to grab Joey's key, Serenity jumoed into the water with it. She swam down to Joey and freed him. They both swam back to the top and got out of the water.
Yugi and Joey were glad that everyone was safe. Joey was embarrased about how he let himself be controlled, but Yugi told him that it wasn't his fault. However, Mai then told Joey that he should be proud for saving Yugi. Joey then realised that Serenity was able to see. She told him that he had been an inspiration for her. With brother and sister reunited, Joey gave back Yugi's Millenium Puzzle. Yugi thanked Joey and then thanked Yami for letting him save his friend.
Tired of the reunion, Seto headed off towards Battle City. As he left, Yugi thanked him. Seto then reminded Yugi that they had a re-match to look forward to in the finals. As Seto walked off with Mokuba, Yugi was sure that this wasn't the last of Marik.
