Seto was furious that Yugi was hesitating. Yugi set one card and then told Seto that anger makes duellists make stupid mistakes and that they need another way to win. Seto realised that Yugi was talking about Obelisk. Yugi then used Valkyrion to destroy Masked Beast Des Guardius. After Masked Beast Des Guardius was destroyed, Yugi found a mask where it had been. Lumis explained that his monster's effect allowed him to control one monster and this had chosen Valkyrion. The mask took over Valkyrion the Magna Warrior. It looked like the duel was over for Yugi and Seto. Umbra then activated a magic card which allowed him to control Valkyrion the Magna Warrior for one turn. Before Umbra could attack, Yugi activated De-Fusion, seperating Valkyrion into the three magnet warriors. Umbra had to end his turn since he only had control over Valkyrion, no t the three individual magnet warriors. Seto realised what Yugi had done for him. Seto told the two rare hunters that they would soon be facing Obelisk the Tormentor. Umbra and Lumis reminded him of their Mask of Restrict, but Seto told them that he would be sacraficing their monsters. Seto activated Soul Exchange, sacraficing the three magnet warriors to summoned Obelisk the Tormentor. The might God card rose. Its power was so immense that Marik was able to sense it from the docks. Seto then ordered Obelisk to destroy Umbra. As Umbra's life points reached zero, the glass below him exploded, sending him falling. Luckily, he had a parachute which saved him.
Seto was not finished yet because he wanted to make Lumis pay too. As he prepared a second attack, Yugi told him to stop since Lumis didn't have the will to wight. Marik then took over Lumis and introduced himself to Seto Kaiba. He warned both Yugi and Seto that he knew every card in their decks, so they could not suprise him. Seto didn't understand how Marik was able to control Lumis. Marik then told Yugi that he had taken control of his friends and that he would have to duel Joey. Seto threatened Marik and demanded to know where Mokuba was, but Marik left Lumis's body. Yugi asked Seto to help him find Joey, but Seto was more concerned about Mokuba. Seto searched Lumis's coat and found two locator cards. He gave one to Yugi, while taking the second one for himself. He told Yugi that they both had enough locator cars to enter the finals, however Yugi told Seto that he was more worried about his friends. Mokuba then arrived on a KaibaCorp helicoptor> Mokuba offered to take Yugi to Tea.
As the trio headed off to find Joey and Tea, Tristin got off the train to get some food for Serenity. he got back just in time. Serenity asked Tristin if she was a bother to her brother, but Tristin assured her that she wasn't. As Tristin explained to Serenity about how she could cheer him on at the finals, little did they know that Joey was about to duel his best friend. Yugi also did not realise what was in store for him.
