Over by the river, Yugi and Yami were talking. As the two continued to talk, Yami felt a dark force coming there way, so they stopped talking and looked around. Strings then leapt over the bridge and landed in front of Yugi. Marik told Yugi(through Strings) that he had full control of Strings. Yami was furious that Marik was abusing his Millenium Item, so he challenged Marik to a duel. Marik agreed. Yugi warned that Strings had a God card in his possesion, so the duel would be really hard. At the museum, Ishizu sensed that the duel was about to begin and worried that she should have done more to stop Marik before things got this bad. Meanwhile, Yami Bakura's Millenium Ring had led him to the museum since it sensed the Millenium Necklace. He was unsucessful at find the necklace, but he was intrigued by the stone carvings of Yami and Kaiba.
Strings started the duel by setting a card and then summoning Humanoid Slime in attack mode. Yugi was suprised that Strings summoned such a weak monster, but he was sure that Strings had a trap ready for him. Instead of attacking, Yugi set a card and summoned Gazelle, the King of Mythical Beasts in attack mode. As Strings turn began again, Marik warned Yugi that he was nothing more than a coward for not attacking. Strings then summoned Worm Drake and activated his face down card, Polymerization, fusing the two monsters to create Humanoid Worm Drake. Yugi then activated De-Fusion, seperating the fused monster back into its original form. Yugi then warned Marik that he had been prepared for that combo. Yugi then summoned Beta the Magnet Warrior. Yugi then used both his monsters to destroy Marik's two monsters(Marik's LP:3000).
With Strings having no monsters and Yugi having two, things looked good for Yugi. Marik warned Yugi that this was only the beginning. Strings then summoned Revival Jam in defence mode. Strings then played Jam Breeding Machine, which summoned one Slime Token(500/0) at the beggining of each of Marik's turn. Realising that Strings planned to use the tokens to summon Slifer, Yugi sacraficed both his monsters to summon Buster Blader. Buster Blader attacked Revival Jam, but Revival Jam just regenerated.
The first Slime Token appeared. Strings set a card and warned that in three turns, he would be defeated. As Strings ended his turn, Yugi attacked Slime Token with Buster Blader, but unfortuantely, Strings activated Jam Defender. Jam Defender allowed Revival Jam to protect all of Strings's monsters. Revival Jam blocked the attack and just regenerated. Marik informed Yugi that his combo was undefeatable. Jam Breeding Machine then created another Slime Token. Strings then played Nightmare Steelcage, blocking Yugi and Marik from attacking for two whole turns. With only one turn left, it seems hopeless that Yugi can turn the duel around and stop Slifer from being summoned.
