Back at the duel, Joey still had hope that he could win. He set a card and switched all his monsters to attack mode. Everyone thought that he had gone mad. Weevil was prepared to win. Weevil first attacked with Leghul(Joey's LP:2800) and then attacked Joey's Parasite. Joey first activated Skull Dice, rolling a 2 and cutting the Great Moth's attack in half. Not enough, Joey activated Graceful Dice, rolling a 4, and destroying Weevil's Great Moth(Weevil's LP:5450). Furious that his moth was gone, Weevil summoned another insect to the field and activated Eradicating Aerosol, destrying it. Weevil then informed Joey that the death of this monster allowed him to summon any monster from his hand. Weevil then summoned his rarest casr, Insect Queen. Insect Queen gained extra attack points for every insect monster on the field, making its attack 3200. As Kenta watched from the hosptial, he was sure that Joey was a goner.
Insect Queen needed a sacrafice to attack, so Weevil sacraficed Leghul. Insect Queen then destroyed Tiny Guardian(Joey's LP:1000). Insect Queen then layed an egg. Weevil explained that every time Insect Queen destroyed a monster, it would lay an egg which would help it keep the extra attack points. Still determined, Joey set a card and ended his turn. Solomon realised that Joey had forgotten to switched Panther Warrior to defence mode, but it was too late. Weevil then summoned Bettla Warrior, a monster that would return to the top of his deck if it was in the graveyard, and allowed Insect Queen to absorb it. Insect Queen attacked, but Joey activated Magic Arm Shield, using Wevil's set monster( he set this after he summon his Ultimate Moth) as a shield(Weevil's LP:3250). Insect Queen then layed another egg.
Joey switched Panther Warrior to defence mode. Weevil summoned Bettle Warrior again and then sacraficed it. Insect Queen then destroyed Panther Warrior. Joey was now afraid that he may not be able to defend himself, but Tristin reminded Joey about his Red-Eyes. As Serenity and kenta cheered for Joey in the hospital, Kenta told Serenity that if Joey won, he would face his fears too. In what could be Joey's final turn, he set a card and summoned Gearfried the Iron Knight. As the Parasite Paracide tried to infect it, Joey pointed out that his monster was made of iron, making it parasite proof.
Gearfried then destroyed one of Insect Queen's eggs. Weevil was then sure that he would win. He summoned Ant Troop and activated Any Multiplication, creating an army of ants till the end of the turn(Insect's Queen's attack:4800). He then sacraficed them and attacked with Insect Queen. Joey activated Graverobber and copied Weevil's Eradicating Aerosol, destroyed Insect Queen. Joey then attacked another egg with Gearfriend and won the duel. The gang then congratulated Joey on his victory. Joey walked over to Weevil and took his two locator cards and Insect Queen. At the hospital, Kenta was amazed that Joey won.
With Weevil defeated, Joey was one setp closer to the finals and winning his Red-Eyes back. However, as Joey went to look for another opponent, Yugi was still looking for the rare hunter with Slifer. Little does he know that the rare hunter is closer than he thinks.
