Arkana was not phased at all, since the Dark Magician Girl only had 2000 attack. Arkana's Dark Magician attacked. As the smoke cleared, Arkana's Dark Magician was gone and Yugi's Dark Magician Girl was still standing. Yugi explained that Dark Magician Girl gained 300 attack points for every Dark Magician in the graveyard, giving it a total attack of 2600. Dark Magician Girl then attacked Arkana and destroyed the rest of his life points. The box below Yugi reached zero, since it showed Arkana's life points. The box opened, revealing a key for Yugi. The blade slowly edges towards Arkana, while Yugi unlocked himself. Arkana then remembered that he had a spare key with him, just in case he lost.
As Arkana reached for the key, Marik took over his mind, paralyzing his body. Yugi rescued Arkana in time though. Arkana then rused over to where Cadeline should have been, but all he found was a manikin. Yugi was shocked that Marik tricked Arkana. Marik then took over Arkana's mind and introduced himself to Yugi again. He explained that he controlled all his rare hunters this way and that all he wanted was to hurt Yami. Marik then informed Yugi that his family had guarded the pharoh's tomb for decades, however Marik wanted to become the pharoh himself. The only way to do that was to collect all three God cards and combine it with the power of the pharoh. Marik wanred Yugi to stay out of the way so he would be spared, but Yugi refused. As Marik left Arkana's body, he warned Yugi to beware of the Quiet One, since he held Slifer the Sky Dragon. As Marik's control over Arkana was released, Tea, Solomon, Tristin, and Mokuba rushed into the room.
Back at his headquarters, Marik was determined that he would defeat Yami Yugi and that it was time to travel to Battle City and take his revenge. Marik then approached a large stone tablet with the Winged Dragon of Ra in the middle. He lifted the God card. he then revealed his back, which was tattooed with the picture of the three God cards around the Millenium Puzzle. He was determined to take his revenge.
