Jinzo then destroyed Thousand Dragon(Joey's LP:700). As Tristin watched from the hospital, he kept on lying to Serenity. The nurse then came in, so Tristin left for a moment. He went to the telephone and called Tea, giving her a message for Joey. Joey wasn't ready to give up, so he played Scapegoat. Tristin went back into Serenity's room. Serenity told Tristin that she knew what was going on because the nurse had just told her. Tristin apoligised and promised that he wouldn't lie anymore.
Espa then summoned Reflect Bounder. Jinzo's attack increased again. The two monsters then destroyed two of Joey's scapegoats. Joey began to give up hope, but then Tea arrived with Solomon. They gave the message to Joey, telling him that Serenity wanted him to win and that he must. Determined not to give up, Joey beleived in the heart of the cards and played Roullete Spider. Roulette Spider attached to Jinzo and pulled Jinzo to the center of the arena. Jinzo then started spinning. Joey explained that whenever Espa told Jinzo to stop, it would attack whatever it was facing. Rex was shocked that Joey was risking the duel with one card. Espa finally yelled stop and Jinzo stopped in front of Reflect Bounder. Jinzo attacked, destroying Reflect Bounder. reflect Bounder also refelcted the attack, destroying Jinzo too and wiping out the rest of Roba's life points.
Rex was shocked that Joey won. Espa's brothers were also shocked. Joey then went over to Espa and demanded his prize. Espa was furious. Joey offered that they become friends. Espa was too stubborn until his brothers arrived to tell him how proud of him they were. Later that day, Espa gave Joey his locator card and his Jinzo. Joey told roba that they both had something in common, that they had siblings that looked up to them. They then parted ways. Joey knew that he could soon have his Red-Eyes back.
