Meanwhile at the hospital, Tristin had brought a laptop so he could tell Serenity all the duels that were going on in Battle City, especially Joey's. Elsewhere, Tea was searching for Yugi and Joey, while Yugi was searching for another rare hunter.
As the duel between Joey and Espa was about to begin, joey had no clue that his sister was listening to Tristin tell her all about the duel. As Joey prepared to summon his first monster, Espa told him that he couldn't. Joey was confused until he actually played Giltia, realising that it was too many stars to summon right now. Joey was angry with himself and had to end his turn. Espa ssummoned Cyber Raider and attacked Joey directly(Joey's LP:2600). At the hospital, Tristin was confused why Joey was losing so badly already, so he lied to Serenity and told her that he brother was playing around with his opponent. In Battle City, Yugi had heard that Joey was duelling, so he had gottwen onto a rooftop to watch the duel. he knew that Espa wasn't psychic, especially after he saw Espa's siblings on another rooftop, spying on the cards in Joey's hand.
Roba had used the info from his brothers and though that Joey had just drawn another Graceful Dice. Joey looked at his hand and saw he had just drawn one, but he hadn't had one before that. he realised the Espa was a fraud, since the other card in his hand was Skull Dice, which looked a lot like Graceful Dice. Joey then summoned Swordsman of Landstar and set two cards.
Espa sacraficed Cyber Raider and summoned the Fiend Megacyber. Joey activated Graceful Dice and rolled a 3, raising his Swordsman's attack to 1500. Espa informed Joey that he couldn't activate two of the same cards in one turn, but Joey had a suprise to Espa. Fiend Megacyber attacked, but Joey then activated Skull Dice, which rolled a 5, redusing Fiend Megacyber's attack to 450. Joey's Swordsman of Landstar then destroyed Fiend Megacyber(Espa's LP:2940). Espa was shocked. Joey told him that he wasn't fooled by Roba's ESP. At the rooftop, Mokuba had spotted Roba's siblings and caught them. He threatened to disqualify Espa, but they begged him, so he let them off the hook as long as they stopped cheating.
Espa set a card and ended his turn. Joey then summoned Alligator Sword and attack directly with it(Espa's LP:1440). Joey realised that he could win, so he attacked with Swordsman of Landstar, but Espa then activated Mesmeric Control, taking over the swordsman. Both Joey and Yugi realised the Espa planned to tribute the monster. Joey set a trap card, Chasm of Spikes, just for Espa. Espa sacraficed the monster and summoned Jinzo. Jinzo then destroyed Joey's trap card. Joey was shocked. Can Joey beat a monster so powerful that it can destroy trap cards?
