Joey was impressed at Yugi's comeback, but then Rare Hunter played Swords of Revealing Light. As Yugi drew, he informed Rare Hunter that he would win in three turns. Yugi then ended his turn. Rare Hunter then drew a duplicate piece of Exodia. Yugi then summoned Alpha the Magnet Warrior and set a card. Yugi then told Rare Hunter that Exodia was weak without all the pieces.
Drawing yet another duplicate, Rare Hunter summoned Exodia's head in defence mode. Yugi informed Rare Hunter that he had fallen for his trap. Yugi then activated Chain Destruction, destroyed all of Exodia's heads in Rare Hunter's deck. Rare Hunter was shocked that Exodia had been defeated. Yugi then activated Dust Tornado, destroying the Swords of Revealing Light. Yugi then activated monster Reborn to reveive Dark Chimera. Dark Chimera destroyed Exodia's head. Alpha and Summoned Skull then attacked Rare Hunter directly, winning the duel.
Rare Hunter fell to the ground. Yugi then walked over to Rare Hunter and took his deck. Yugi reclaimed Joey's Red-Eyes and then realised that all of Rare Hunter's cards were marked. Yugi tore up all the cards then. As the two friends prepared to leave, Rare Hunter stood back up and began to talk. Yugi realised that he was possesed. The controller informed Yugi that he was able to control his servants with the power of the Millenium Rod. Yugi was shocked to find out this man had a Millenium Item too. The sontroller then introduced himself as Marik. Marik explained that he was going to collect all three god cards and take the power of the pharoh. Yugi was dtermined to stop Marik, but Marik warned himto watch out for the power of the God cards. Rare Hunter then passed out.
As Yugi and Joey prepared to find more opponents, Yugi offered Joey his Red-Eyes back. Joey refused, telling Yugi that he couldn't take back the Red-Eyes until he won it in a duel. Joey then told Yugi that he still had Time Wizard. Also, a part of Joey was in Yugi's deck. The two friends promised that they would duel soon. Joey told yugi that the rare hunters had two new duellists to duel.
