| Yugi vs. the Rare Hunter(1) | |||||
| As a new day began, Solomon Moto was shocked to find out that Yugi had been up all night forting out his Battle City deck. Yami informed Yugi that the upcoming tournament was important to him because he could learn more about his past during it. Yugi then headed for the city. Meanwhile Joey was worried that he may lose without his Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Joey decided to call Serenity, but Tristin picked up the phone instead. Joey was furious that Tristin was trying to get Serenity to like him. As duellists began to gather in the city, two people headed towards work were confused at what was going on. As duellist informed them that the biggest tournament ever was about to start, so they should get to work before the duelling starts. Meanwhile Yugi had arrived at the town square. Yugi found Mai and they started to talk. Weevil, Rex, and Mako then arrived, determined to win this tournament. Everyone then went their seperate ways, all determined to win in the end. However, none of them knew that Rare Hunter was watching them, dtermined to claim all their rare cards. Yugi found his starting point. Seto then arrived on his blimp. Seto informed everyone that only eight people would make it to the finals, so they better work fast. Each duellist was given a locator card. Not only would they bet their rarest card, but they would also bet this. If they lost theirs, they were disqualified. Each duellist needed six to enter the finals. Once a duellist collected all six, the location of the finals would be given to them. As the tournament began, Yugi saw joey heading towards the Rare Hunter. Joey challenged Rare Hunter, but Rare Hunter didn't accept because Joey didn't have any valuable cards left. Yugi then challenged Rare Hunter for Joey. Rare Hunter accepted. Joey then tried to tell Yugi about Exodia, but Rare Hunter threatened to tear up Joey's Red-Eyes. As the duel was about to begin, Seto was told that Yugi was beginning a duel. He and Mokuba decided to watch it from KaibaCorp. As the first turn began, Rare Hunter already had two pieces of Exodia. Yugi started the duel by setting two cards and summoning Beta the Magnet Warrior. Rare Hunter seemed unfazed and played Graceful Charity. Yugi was suprised, not knowing that Rare Hunter had just drawn another piece of Exodia. Yugi then activated Light of Intervention. Rare Hunter summoned Aztec Statue in defence mode. Yugi then sacraficed Beta to sommon Beformet. Beforment's effect summoned Gzelle, the King of Mythical Beasts. Yugi then activated Polymerization to fuse the two monsters to summon Dark Chimera, the Flying Mythical Beast. However a newly fused monster couldn't attack, so Yugi ended his turn by setting a card. Rare Hunter played Graceful Charity again and drew the fourth piece of Exodia. With the aid of his special contact lenses, he was able to see that the next card he would draw was the last piece. Rare Hunter then summoned Air Patrol Golem in defence mode. Joey tried to tell Yugi about Exodia, but Yugi stopped him. Yugi then realised that Rare Hunter was trying to summon the unstoppable beast. Yugi told Rare Hunter that he would beat Exodia, but can Yugi win when the card Rare Hunter is about to draw is the final piece? |
