Stalked by the Rare Hunters
At school, Joey was excited to hear about the upcoming tournament, but was angry at Seto for not inviting him. Joey was excited about entering the tournament later that day, but Tristin reminded him about Serenity's operation. Joey told Tristin that he wouldn't forget about it. Joey continued to brag about how he did at Duellist Kingdom. Yugi warned him that each duellist would have to bet their rarest card, but this statement made Joey brag even more. Yugi then informed Joey that each duellist had to get the latest version of the Duel Disk. Joey became quiet, remembering how Seto beat him the last time they used it.
The friends headed towards town to get the new duel disk. As Joey and Tristin rushed into the shop, Yugi thanked Tea for going out with Yami. Tea realised that Yami had not told Yugi about what he learned, but Yami would have to tell Yugi sooner or later. As the group entered the shop, the owner used his computer to check the information on Yugi and Joey. The store owner was suprised that Yugi was a level 5 duellist, meaning he was one of the best. Yugi received a duel disk free of charge. The store owner then checked Joey out, but the computer showed that Joey was a level 1 duellist, the worst kind. Joey knew that Seto had dome this to him. The store owner then saw the Joey's rarest card was the Red-Eyes Black Dragon, so he changed Joey's level, telling the gang that the computer had an error. Joey was pleased and he received a duel disk too. As the gang left the shop, the store owner picked up his phone and told someone that Joey was their next target.
As day became night, Joey left the gang to go to the hospital. However, on his way there, he was stopped by a group of robed figures. One of the robe figures challenged him to a duel. Joey decided to quickly win. They decided to play using the new Battle City rules, so the winner would get the loser's rarest card. Joey started the duel by summoning Panther Warrior. The rare hunter set a monster in defence mode. Joey played Scapegoat and sacraficed on of them so Panther Warrior could attack. Panther Warrior destroyed the face down monster.
Rare Hunter then played Graceful Charity, drawing three cards and discarding two. He then set a monster in defence mode. Meanwhile, Serenity was gettin worried about where Joey could be. Joey then summoned Armoured Lizard. He then sacraficed another Scapegoat so Panther Warrior could attack. Panther Warrior destroyed the face down monster and Armoured Lizard attack rare Hunter's life points directly(Rare Hunter's LP:2500). Rare Hunter then played Graceful Chairty again and set another monster. Joey was sure that he was going to win. Joey sacraficed his two monsters and summoned his Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Red-Eyes attacked and destroyed Rare Hunter's face down monster. Rare Hunter then informed Joey that he had lost. Joey was confused, but then Rare Hunter played all five pieces of Exodia, summong the invincible beast and winning the duel.Joey was shocked, but the Rare Hunter revealed that he had three of each piece of Exodia. The other rare hunters then attacked Joey and took his Red-Eyes from him.
The next morning, Serenity refused to have the operation without Joey. Mrs. Wheeler called yugi and told him about the problem. Tristin and Tea then came over and helped Yugi search for Joey. Tristin finally found Joey and took him to the hospital. Joey arrived at the hospital and apoligised to Serenity. Sedrenity then went through with the operation. Later that day, Joey called Yugi to tell him that the operation went well. Joey told Yugi that Battle City would be dangerous, determined to win his Red-Eyes back.
