Meanwhile, Solomon Moto had decided to check out his competition and had come to Duke's game shop. He was suprised to see a crowd outside the place, so he moved through the crowd to see what was going on. he found the giant tv screens with Yugi on them. Solomon was shocked, but then he realized that Yugi was duelling Duke. Solomon decided to hang around and watch the rest of the match.
Back at the arena, Duke congratulatedYugi on using Thunderball's effect, but warned him that he still had a long way to go. Yugi reminded Duke that he beat Pegasus, so Duke should watch out. Duke rolled two attack crests and a movement crest. He passed his turn. Yugi rolled and successfully rolled a level 2 summon, summoning the Knight of Twin Swords. At this time, the crest pools of each player was revealed, showing that Yugi had 1 movement crest, 5 attack crests, and 4 defence crests. Duke had 7 movement crests and 2 attack crests. As Duke began his turn, he was suprised that Yugi's eyes were glued to the help screen. Duke then rolled and summoned Battle Ox. Duke ordered his Battle Ox to move 4 spaces forward and attack Yugi's Knight of Twin Swords. Yugi switched the Knight of Twin Swords to defence mode by using a defence crest. Knight of Twin Swords was able to survive the attack. Yugi then activated 2 attack crests, activating the Knight of Twin Swords's effect and destroying Battle Ox.
As Yugi and his friends began to beleive that Yugi had a chance at winning, Duke began to laugh. Duke told everyone that his last move was more about summoning a monster, but really blocking Yugi off. Yugi looked at the field and noticed that he couldn't advance further to Duke's heart points. Yugi knew that he could use Duke's dungeon path, but Duke's monsters would attack him.
As the dice automator released dice for Duke, Duke was pleased to see that he had a black die. Duke rolled two summoning crests and dimensioned the black die. The black die revealed a Warp Voprtex on the field. Duke explained that if there are two Warp Vortexs in play, monsters came pass through one of them and go to another. As Yugi began to worry about Duke's latest strategy, Duke warned him that as soon as he rolled the next black die, he would quickly defeat Yugi.
Yugi rolled and summoned Strike Ninja. Strike Ninja was allowed to move three spaces per movement crest. As Duke's turn began, he was pleased to see that the dice automator had given him his second black die. Duke, rolled, but he didn't get any summoning crests. Duke was shocked that he had failed to role a summon. As yugi's turn began, he showed Duke that his dice automator had given his a black die. Duke was even more shocked. yugi rolled and successfully dimensioned a second warp vortex. Yugi then moved Strike Ninja through the Warp Vortex, onto the other side of the field and destroyed Ryu-Kishin.
Duke rolled again and was unable to summong anything. Yugi some more movement crests and was able to move his Strike Ninja right in front of Duke's heart points. Strike Ninja then destroyed one of Duke's heart points. Duke was pleased that Yugi had learned fast, but he was still determined to win. Duke rolled the dice and summoned Orgoth the Relentless. Duke then activated two magic crests and raised Orgoth's attack. Yugi searched his help screen for advice. After Orgoth attacked and the smoke cleared away, Duke was shocked to see that that Yugi had activated a trap crest so his ninja could dodge the attack. Strike Ninja then destroyed another one of Duke's heart points. Orgoth attacked again, but this time yugi didn't have any trap crests, so Strike Ninja was destroyed. With Yugi's ninja out of the way, Duke prepared to win the duel with his most powerful monster.
