| As the duel between Yugi and Duke was about to begin, a crowd gathered around Duke's game shop to watch the match on Duke's big tv screen outside the store. Yugi and Duke reminded each other the conditions of the match. At this time, the duel monsters arena transformed into a Dungeon Dice arena. Duke warned Yugi that Dungeon Dice Monsters had a whole new set of rules and that if yugi wanted to free Joey, he would have to learn quickly. Yugi wasn't too concerned until a large tray of dice revealed itself. Duke explained that each player much pick fifteen dice and put it in their dice pool. Duke quickly picked out fifteen dice, but Yugi was unsure of what to pick, since he had no idea what each symbol meant. Yugi randomly picked dice and put it in his dice automator, which suffled the dice for him. Duke explained that each turn, the dice automator would give him three dice which he must roll. Also they each had three heart points, and if a player lost all three, he lost the match. Duke started the match. He rolled all three of his dice and then informed yugi that to summon a monster, he would have to roll two summoning crests. Duke had rolled two summoning crests, so he was able to summon a monster. Duke dimensioned the dice and summoned Ryu-Kishin. Duke explained that each time you dimension the dice, it creates a pathway for monsters to travel on, so you would have too create a pathway to the opponent's heart points. After Yugi made his first roll, all three dice were different, so he had to pass his turn. Duke then told him that there were six different types of crests; Summon, Movement, Magic, Attack, Defence, and Trap. Duke also told yugi that each summoning crest had a level on it. Since Duke's dice had low levels, they had more summoning crests, but since Yugi had level 4 dice, it would be extremely hard for him to summon a monster. Yugi checked his dice at this time and noticed that he had picked mostly high level dice, so the chances of summoning a monster were low. As Duke rolled, he got two summoning crests and a movement crest. Duke dimensioned the dice and summoned Goranzo. Duke then used his movement crest and move Goranzo forward one space. As yugi's turn began, Duke told Yugi that it was possible to store crests that aren't wanted for later, although summoning crests couldn't be stored. Yugi rolled badly again and passed his turn. Duke rolled and dimensioned Gator Dragon. Duke then moved Gator Dragon forward one space. With Duke having three monsters and Yugi having none, it didn't look like Yugi could win. Yugi rolled and got two summoning crests. Duke explained that since the summon crests were different levels, Yugi couldn't summon a monster. As the dice automator gave Duke dice, Duke realised that he had level 4 dice. Duke rolled the dice and summoned a chest. Duke explained that he used an item summon that would come handy later. Yugi rolled and failed to role a matching pair. Duke called Yugi the King of Lame for not being able to summon a single monster. Duke then told Yugi that yugi was nothing more than a fraud. Duke then rolled and summoned the 13th Grave, right in front of Yugi's heart points. Yugi realised that if he didn't summon a monster, Duke would advance and attack his heart points. Yugi then put all his faith into the dice and rolled. Yugi rolled two level 4 summoning crests and summoned the Mighty Mage. Yugi then moved his Might Mage and destroyed Duke's 13th Grave. Duke told Yugi that he still had a long way to go and that one victory wouldn't help him at all against his five monsters. Duke then rolled and summoned Blast Lizard. Duke then told Yugi that his Blast Lizard had a special attack that would destroy Yugi's Might Mage. Yugi wondered what Duke meant. As the dice automator dispensed three die for yugi, Yugi realized he had only Level 2 die. Yugi rolled them and summoned the Winged Dragon. Duke rolled two magic crests and decided to show off his Blast Lizard's special ability. Duke used three magic crests, which allowed his Blast Lizard to bombard Yugi's Winged Dragon, destrying it. Yugi rolled three attack crests and ended his turn. Duke then rolled and summoned the Dark Assailant. Duke then ended his turn by moving Blast Lizard and Gator Dragon forward so they were almost at Yugi's heart points. Ending his turn, Duke told Yugi that he had little chance of winning against the creator of Dungeon Dice Monsters. Yugi was shocked that Duke was the game's creator. Duke then told yugi that it was his fault that nobody knew he created the game. "Duke had spent years perfecting the game of Dungeon Dice Monsters until it was complete and, when he finished, sent an e-mail to Pegasus to ask for help in marketing the game. He soon got a reply and Pegasus invited him to the Duellist Kingdom to discuss terms of the contract. Duke was excited about getting to meet his idol, but as soon as he arrived, Pegasus challenged hinm to a duel of Dungeon Dice Monsters and easily beat him. Pegasus agrred that the two would work as partners to market the game, and told Duke that they would finalise the contract after he had finished hosting the Duel Monsters tournament that was about to begin." However since Yugi beat Pegasus, Duke had not been able to contact Pegasus, so his hopes of making Dungeon Dice popular vanished. Yugi tried to explain to Duke that Pegasus was an evil man, but Duke ignored Yugi and told Yugi that Pegasus was a genius. Yugi then rolled and summoned Thunderball. However, Duke was not concerned by the weak monster. Duke then rolled and used two of his movement crests to position his Gator Dragon and Blast Lizard in front of Yugi's heart points. Duke then activated one attack crest and destroyed one of Yugi's heart points. With Yugi unable to defend himself and Duke about to finish Yugi off, can the King of Games win against the creator of Dungeon Dice Monsters? |
