The Wrath of Rebecca(1)
Now knowing that Pegasus had released the three souls as he promised, Yugi and his friends headed back to the duelling arena. Once they reached the duelling arena, they found Mokuba waking up. Although Mokuba was still tired, he wanted to look for his brother. As the group was about to leave, Croquet arrived. Croquet then told Yugi that he had to give yugi his prizes. Yugi told Croquet that Pegasus had already forfilled his end on the bargain, but Croquet still gave yugi the check for 3 million dollars. Yugi gave the check to Joey, so Joey could save his sister. Croquet then presented to Yugi a special card created by Pegasus. The card was called the Ties of Friendship and it was one of a kind. Croquet then declared that Yugi was the King of Games.
As the group searched the castle for Seto Kaiba, they began to lose hope of ever finding him. However, Seto appeared from the otherside of the gate. Mokuba rushed into Seto's arms. As Seto and Mokuba headed off to find Seto's helicoptor, Seto thanked Yui for rescuing him and his younger brother. Seto then promised that one day the two of them would face off in a real and honorable duel. As the two brothers left, Yugi and Yami talked with each other. The spirit explained that although he had many names, Yugi may call him Yami.
The gang then suddenly realised that they didn't have a ride off the island, so they rushed to catch up with Seto and ask him for a ride home. As the gang rushed away, Bakura followed them slowly. Bakura was especially excited. Yugi may have his grandpa back and Joey may have his money, but Bakura had the real prize, Pegasus's Millenium Eye.
Back at home, Yugi's grandpa had just woken up after a long time without his soul. As yugi, Joey, Tea, and Tristin met him at the hospital, he was pleased to hear that Yugi was the King of Games and that Joey had come in second at Duellist Kingdom. However, as the gang arrived at Grandpa's gameshop, they found a young girl waiting for them. The girl explained that her name was Rebecca and that she wanted her card back from Yugi's grandpa. As yugi and his friends tried to calm the girl down, Rebecca demanded that Grandpa give her Blue-Eyes White Dragon back. Tea tried to explain that there was a small problem with that request, but Rebecca ignored her and demanded for the card, explaining that it belonged to a true champion such as herself. Joey was amused that an 8 year old considered herself the champion of Duel Monsters, but Yugi explained that he had heard that a prodigy in the game had been discovered right before they left for Duellist Kingdom. This prodigy had beaten many top duellists.
Rebecca continued to demand for the Blue-Eyes, ignoring Yugi and his friends. Grandpa asked her why she though he had her card. Rebecca explained that her grandpa once had one, but it was gone. Since there were only four and Seto Kaiba had three of them, that meant Grandpa must have stolen her card. Rebecca suggested that they should duel for the card, but Yugi explained that his grandpa had just been released from the hospital and was still tired. Rebecca insisted that they duel.
The group went to KaibaLand and Mokuba allowed them to use one of their duelling arenas. As the group arrived at the duelling arena, Yugi insisted that Grandpa shouldn't duel. Yugi then volunteered in his grandpa's place. Rebecca was pleased, since the duel would be a clash of titans. Before the duel began, Rebecca gave Grandpa one last chance to give the Blue-Eyes up, but Grandpa refused.
Rebecca started the duel by summoning Witch of the Black Forst in attack mode. Tjis was an unusual start for a duel, but it seemed familiar to Grandpa. Yugi summoned Celtic Guardian and easily destroyed the witch(Rebecca's LP:1700). Rebecca was not upset at all and used her witch's effect to pick a monster from her deck with less than 1500 defence points. Rebecca then summoned Sangan in attack mode, but Yugi's Celtic Guardian easily destroyed it(Rebecca's LP:1300). The destruction of Sangan also allowed Rebecca to pick a monster from her deck.
From the sidelines, Yugi's friends were unsure about Rebecca's strategy, but Grandpa reconized the strategy. Rebecca then played Tribute to the Doomed, sacraficing one card from her hand and destroying Celtic Guardian. She then set a monster and ended her turn. Tea warned Yugi to be on his guard, but Yugi was confident that he could win. Yugi summoned Summoned Skull and attacked Rebecca's face down monster. Yugi was shocked as Rebecca revealed her Millenium Shield(Yugi's LP:1500). Grandpa then realised that the duel so far had been the exact same as a duel he had had with Professor Arthur Hawkins.
During her turn, Rebecca equipped her Millenium Sheidl with the Ring of Magnetism, reducing it defensince points by 500. Yugi passed his turn, unsure about the Ring of Magnetism. Rebecca then summoned Cannon Soldier. Grandpa reconized the card and warned Yugi that Rebecca would sacrafice a monster next turn to attack Yugi's life points directly. Determined to stop Rebecca, Yugi ordered his Summoned Skull to attack Cannon Soldier, but the attack was drawn away by the Millenium Shield. Rebecca explained that the Ring of Magnetism would draw any attacks towards it. As Rebecca drew, she was pleased to see that the card she drew was Shadow Ghoul, a card she planned to use soon. Rebecca then summoned another Witch of the Black Forest and sacraficed it to attacked Yugi's life points directly(Yugi's LP:1100).
As Yugi searched for a way to get past the Millenium Shield, Rebecca explained that she learned how to duel from a duellist far more experienced than a Moto. Grandpa realised that Rebecca must be related to his old friend Professor Hawkins. Grandpa asked Rebecca for her last name. Rebecca revealed that she was Professor Arhur Hawkin's granddaughter. She warned Yugi that he would pay for his Grandpa, but can she really defeat a duellist who was able to withstand the power of the Millenium Eye?
