| Yugi vs. Pegasus- Match of the Millenium(4) |
|||||
| As Yugi's duel with Pegasus entered the shadow realm, Tristin was also fighting an evil of his own, Yami Bakura. As Yami Bakura demanded that Tristin hand over Mokuba's body, Tristin realized that the Millenium Ring controled Bakura. Tristin threw Mokuba over to Yami Bakura. As Yami Bakura tried to catch Mokuba, Tristin knocked him out. Tristin then took the Millenium Ring off bakura and threw it into the forest. Back at the arena, Tea and Joey could only watch as Yugi and Pegasus disappeared into darkness. By the time Tristin came back with Mokuba and Bakura, the whole arena had been engulfed in the shadow realm. Tea and Joey asked Tristin where he had been and what had happened to Bakura, but Tristin told them that it wasn't important and that Yugi's duel was more important. The three friends left the bodies of Mokuba and Bakura by the balcony and headed down towards the arena to find out if they could help Yugi. Inside the shadow realm, Yugi was finding the mental strain much harder to deal with than last time. Yami took over and was able to stand the strain. Yugi insisted that they should keep the Mind Shuffle strategy working, because that way Pegasus couldn't read their minds. Pegasus then summoned Dark-Eyes Illusionist(0000/0000). Yami knew it must have some special powers. Yami then summoned Curse of Dragon. Yugi took over again, but still was having problems. Outside the shadow realm, Yugi's friends could feel his pain. They seemed to have grown a spiritual link because of their friendships.Yami then told Yugi that he might as well give up the mind strain, because it was too much for him to handle. Yugi agreed and Yami took over again. Yami attacked Dark-Eyes Illusionist with Curse of Dragon, but Dark-Eyes Illusionist activated its special power and paralyzed Curse of Dragon. Pegasus then activated the Black Illusion Ritual and sacraficed his Dark-Eyes Illusionist to summon Relinquished. Although this monster had zero attack and defence too, it had a much more powerful effect. Relinquished then sucked in Curse of Dragon. Yugi attacked with his Dark Magician, but Relinquished activated its special effect and used Curse of Dragon as a shield. Curse of Dragon was destroyed(Yugi's LP:400). Relinquished then sucked in Yugi's Dark Magician. Yugi insisted that they keep the Mind Shuffle strategy, but Yami was unsure. If Yugi's mind collapsed in the shadow realm, his soul would be lost forever. However, Yugi insisted, so Yami let him take over. Yugi then drew a card. Pegasus could have read Yugi's mind so Yami would take over again, but instead Pegasus decided to overtax it. Yugi set the card he drew and then summoned Feral Imp in defence mode. Pegasus attacked Feral Imp with Relinquished(Dark Magician). Feral Imp was destroyed and Yugi's mind was crushed. Yugi's body collapsed and his friends felt a sudden outburst of pain that lasted for a second. Realising that something bad had happened, they became more determined to help Yugi. Meanwhile, inside Yugi's mind, Yami was trying to wake up Yugi, but yugi wouldn't wake up. Pegasus seemed pleased that he had crushed Yugi and taunted Yami that he was all alone. Since Tea wasn't able to sense Yugi anymore, she reached into the vortex, but her hand just came back out at her. Tristin tried to jump into the vortex, but he came out on the other side. Determined to avenge Yugi, Yami took over the body and prepared to finish Pegasus off. Since Yugi was gone, Yami's mind was now an open book to Pegasus. Yami drew the Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2, but it was useless to him. Yami had nothing in his hand that could help him. Pegasus destroyed it and then summoned Jigen Bakudan. Pegasus explained that in two turns, Jigan Bakudan would explode and wipe out Relinquished and the Dark Magician, winning the duel for Pegasus. As Yami Yugi searched for someway to win, Pegasus assured him that he couldn't. With Yugi gone and only two turns left, can Yami win the duel on his own? |
