Match of the Millenium(1)
Pegasus congratulated Yugi on having defeated such strong opponents, but Yugi ignored him. Yugi aaked Pegasus if he would free his grandpa's soul if he won. Pegasus avoided the question and began to use his Millenium Eye. He discovered that Yugi planned to free the Kaiba brothers too. Pegasus saw that Yugi promised Mokuba that he would save him and told Yugi that he could read minds. As Yugi prepared to duel, the gang wondered what Pegasus really wanted from Yugi. Bakura and Tristin were concerned that Yugi may not be able to win, especially after what he did to Seto. As Tea and Joey headed off to get a better view of the duel, Tristin told Bakura that he was going to find Seto and Mokuba. At this time, Yami Bakura took over(nobody knew this) and was intrigued by the idea.
Yugi was then asked to show his tournament verification card, which he did. Croquet then told him that the card was blank because the winner could ask anything from the loser. In this case both duellists were fighting for souls. Yugi told Croquet that he wanted Pegasus to free the souls of his grandpa, Seto, and Mokuba. Pegasus told yugi that if Yugi lost, Pegasus would get Yugi's soul and his Millenium Puzzle. Meanwhile, Tea and Joey asked Bakura where Tristin was, but Bakura lied to them and told them that he had no idea. As the duel for the title of King of Games was about to begin, each player was told to shuffle their opponent's deck. As Yugi shuffled Pegasus's deck, Pegasus just tapped the top card of Yugi's deck and passed it back. With both decks huffled, the duel began.
Meanwhile, Tristin had gone off to find Mokuba. As he searched throughout the castle, he couldn't find a trace of him. He then saw a guard coming and hid behind a suit. Tristin then followed the guard and found a secret staircase.
Yugi began the duel by setting a monster and a card face down. As Pegasus's turn began, he announced that yugi's face down monster was Beaver Warrior. Pegasus then summoned Red Archery Girl in defence mode and set one card. Yugi wondered whether Pegasus wanted him to attack, but he did so anyway. At this time, Pegasus used his Millenium Eye to discover that Yugi was planning to combine his Beaver Warrior with Horn of the Unicorn. Yugi the flipped Beaver Warrior and equipped it with his face down card, Horn of the Unicorn. As Yugi attacked, Pegasus activated Tears of a Mermaid, destroying Horn of the Unicorn. Pegasus then switched Red Archery Girl into attack mode and destroyed beaver Warrior(Yugi's LP:1800). As yugi began to realise the power of Pegasus's Millenium Eye, the gang wondered how Pegasus knew exactly what Yugi was going to do. The gang also began to wonder where Tristin had gone.
Pegasus announced that Yugi was just beginning to realise the power of his eye and that it was too late to back out now. Bakura told Tea and Joey that the Millenium Eye had the power to read minds. Tea and Joey were shocked at this and they both wondered how Bakura knew this. All three of them wondered if Yugi could possibly win. Meanwhile Tristin had found Mokuba. He knocked the guard out, stole the keys, and freed Mokuba. Little did he know, but he tripped a silent alarm.
Back the the duelling arena, Yugi played another monster in defece mode and ended his turn. At this time, Croquet received a phone call that Mokuba had escaped. Bakura used his Millenium Ring and overheard the conversation. As Tristin tried to escape with a soulless Mokuba, he found the two of them trapped in a passageway with two guards heading his way. Meanwhile Pegasus had played Ryu-Ran in defence mode and switched Red Archery Girl to defence mode too. Yugi was slowly growing more confident, so Pegasus decided to psyche Yugi out. Pegasus told yugi that his Summoned Skull would go nicely with his Celtic Guardian, Magical Hats, Celtic Guardian, Spellbinding Circle, and Horned Imp. Yugi began to wonder how much longer his could last against Pegasus's Millenium Eye, especially when is own Millenium Puzzle's full power hadn't been unlocked yet.
