Bakura commented that their couldn't be many duellists left on the island. Tristin was sure that both Yugi and Joey would make it to the finals. Yugi then warned Joey that the upcoming duels would be harder than before. Joey didn't think he could do it, but Yugi told him he could. As the group continued to walk, they didn't realize that they were being watched by three duellists. One of the three, Bones, decided he wanted to duel Joey. His friends, Sid and Zygore, agreed and they went to tell their boss. Bones, Sid, and Zygore went to Bandit Keith and told him that they found Yugi Moto. Keith agreed that Joey would be easier to take out first. Keith and Bones left for the cave to make preperations for Bone's Zombie deck, while Sid and Zygore headed out to find Joey.
Meanwhile Joey had the feeling that he was being watched. he split off from the rest of the group and found a waterfall. Sid and Zygore suddenly appeared and knocked him out. When Joey finally woke up, he found himself in a cave, on a duelling arena. Bones appeared on the other side and tried to scare Joey by telling him that they were at the Arena of Lost Souls. While Bones was trying to scare Joey, the rest of the gang start to worry. Joey started to leave, but Bandit Keith told him that if he left he would have to give up all his starchips. Joey then decided to duel and bet 4 starchips.
Bones was about to start the duel by playing a zombie monster, bu Keith told him to instead start the duel by playing Zanki in attack mode. Joey summoned Axe Raider and destroyed Zanki. Bones then played Crawling Dragon in defence mode. Joey easily destroyed it with his Axe Raider. Bones then summoned Crass Clown in attack mode. Joey summoned his Flame Swordsman and destroyed it. Bones then played Call of the Haunted to revive all his monsters and made them invincible. Bones's dragon destroyed Joey's Axe Raider(Joey's LP:1620). Meanwhile Tea had found Joey's wallet next to the cave. Everyone then decided to enter the cave. Inside the cave they found fake skeletons. The fake skeletons freaked them out. Meanwhile Joey was having problems, since he only had one monster while Bones had three invincible monsters.
