The Scars of Defeat
As the duels contiinued on the island, Pegasus was thinking about his plans to take over KaibaCorp. He still had the real Seto Kaiba to get rid of, but he had Mokuba to use. Meanwhile the real Seto Kaiba was on his way to Duelist Kingdom by helicoptor. he was thinking about how Yugi had beat his deck twice and doubts that his old duelling methods can help him win. Seto then realised that a change of strategy this late could cause him to lose.
Back on the island, Tea, Tristin, and Joey were sleeping, but Yugi and Bakura were talking. Bakura's Millenium Ring was pointing at Pegasus's castle. Yugi told Bakura that it probably was detecting Pegasus's Millenium Eye. As the two continued to talk, Seto's helicoptor caused the rest of the gang to wake up as it landed. Seto got out of it and Yugi went up to him. Yugi gave Seto back his deck, having reclaimed it from the evil Kaiba. Yugi then told Seto that they should work together, but Seto told him to forget about it because this wasn't a game, but a matter of saving his brother and his company. Joey the shouted at Seto and told him that he wasn't the only one who wanted to duel Pegasus for a loved one. Joey then challenged Seto to a duel.
Seto accepted and they dueled using his latest invention, the duel disk system. Seto started the duel by summoning Battle Ox. Seto summoned Armored Lizard, but it was easily destroyed. Joey then summoned Flame Swordsman, but it was destroyed too. Seto then fused his Battle Ox with Mystic Horseman to create Rabid Horseman. Joey tried using all sorts of monsters. All of these were destroyed: Swamp Battleguard, Axe Raider, Battle Steer, Garoozis, and Rude Kaiser. Joey finally summoned his Red-Eyes Black Dragon and destroyed Seto's horseman. Seto  congratulated him for having such a powerful monster. He then summoned his Blue-Eyes White Dragon and destroyed Joey's dragon and the rest of his life points.
Yugi asked Seto why he humiliated Joey like that. Seto told him that Pegasus wasn't going to be any less merciful since he had ever card at his disposal. Seto then told Yugi about a the Inter-Continental Championships he had gone for in New York City. The two finalists had been Bandit Keith and Pegasus. Seto had been invited as Pegasus's guest. Bandit Keith had been playing well, but Pegasus had been toying with him the whole time. Pegasus then told Bandit Keith that a child could defeat him. Pegasus took a sheet of paper and wrote something on it. He then called a child from the audience and gave him the sheet of paper. The child sat down. Keith played a card, but the boy followed the instructions that Pegasus had given him and won the duel. The crowd cheered for the boy, but both Seto and Keith had been shocked that Pegasus knew exactly what Keith was going to do. As Seto finished his story, Yugi told him that he knew that Pegasus could read minds. Seto the headed off for Pegasus's castle.
