Yugi stepped onto the duelling platform and found his feet chained to the arena. Mai warned Yugi that Panik was a ruthless advesary.At this tiem, flames came out of nowhere and almost hit Yugi. Yugi didn't react at all because he knew that Panik was trying to intimidate him.
Panik started the duel by summoning Castle of Dark Illusions in defence mode. It was night time so Castle of Dark Illusions gained a field power bonus. Panik's side of the field was covered in darkness and Yugi wasn't able to see a thing. Yugi summoned Celtic Guardian in defence mode, but Panik summoned another monster and destroyed it. Yugi then summoned Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2 in defence mode. Panik played another monster. As Yugi's turn began he switched Winged Dragon into attack mode and attacked the darkness. Panik's monsters were revealed for a moment, but Yugi's Winged Dragon was destroyed. Panik told yugi that his Castle of dark Ilusions ensured victory for him, but Yugi laughed at him and told Panik he knew exactly how to win.
Yugi drew Swords of Revealing Light and showed Panik it. Then he told Panik that he would win in five turns. Yugi summoned Curse of Dragon in defence mode and one card face down. Panik summoned Reaper of the Cards and attacked with it, certain that the face down card was Swords of Revealing Lights. Yugi activated his face down card, Spellbinding Circle and trapped Panik's monster. Panik then summoned King of Yamimakai and attacked Yugi's Curse of Dragon, but it was drawn away by Yugi's Spellbinding Circle, and Panik's Reaper of the Cards was destroyed instead(Panik's LP:494). Yugi then activated Swords of Revealing Light and flooded Panik's side of the field with light. Yugi saw Panik's two other monsters, Barroks and Dark Chimera. Panik then activated Chaos Shield to protect all his monsters. Yugi summoned Gaia the Fierce Knight and activated Polymerization, fusing it with Curse of Dragon to create Gaia the Dragon Champion. Panik then played Metal Guardian. Yugi summoned Catpult Turtle and launched Gaia the Dragon Champion at the Castle of Dark Illusions. Gaia the Dragon Champion was destroyed and Castle of Dark Illusion's flotation ring was destroyed. Panik laughed and told Yugi that he had lost. Then Yugi pointed out that the only reason that the Castle of Dark Illusions was still floating was because of his Swords of Revealing Light. As Yugi's swords faded, Castle of Dark Illusion fell and destroyed all of Panik's monsters, reducing his life points to zero. Panik tried to get back at Yugi by using his flamethrowers, but Yugi banished Panik's mind to the shadow realm. Yugi then gave Mai her starchips back, but Mai refused. Joey the offered to take them so she took them.
