Later that evening, the gang had camped out when Mai arrived. Mai offered the gang some of her food. She told then that she only needed 2 more starchips to enter Pegasus's castle and that all her food would be wasted after that. Joey and Tristin went to get water while Yugi collected firewood. Tea took a shower. Tea and Mia heard rustling in the bushes, but they couldn't find anything. Everyone then ate. Afterwards, Yugi and Mai talked about the tournament. Mai didn't think it was a good idea to duel her competition so she decided to take a walk. She was walking when a figure came out of the woods and grabbed her.
The gng began to worry about Mai when bakura came out of the woods. The group of five began talking, when Joey mentioned when he was duelling, he liked to think of himself as his favorite card. Bakura asked everyone what their favorite card was. Yugi's was the Dark Magician. Joey's was the Flame Swordsman. Tristin's was Cyber Commander and Tea's was the Magician of Faith. Bakura told everyone that his favorite card was Change of Heart, which Yugi had never heard of before. Bakura then told everyone to put their favorite card into Yugi's deck, so when he and Yugi duelled, all of them would be helping Yugi. Yugi told Bakura that a 4 on 1 duel wouldn't be fair, but Bakura didn't care. Bakura then revealed his Millenium Ring and transported everyone to the shadow realm. Yami Bakura took control of Bakura's body and sealed the souls of Yugi and his friends' into Yugi's deck. he was about to take the Millenium Puzzle when Yami Yugi showed up and challenged Yami Bakura to a duel.
