Weevil started the duel by playing Killer Needle. Yugi summoned Mammoth Graveyard. Mammoth Graveyard attacked Killer Needle but only Mammoth Graveyard was destroyed. It should have been a stalemate but then Weevil told Yugi about the field power bonuses. Suddenly Weevil's Killer Needle disappears and Yugi explains that his Mammoth Graveyard also recieved a field power bonus from the Wasteland field. Weevil then played Hercules Beetle. Yugi played Feral Imp with the Horn of the Unicorn. The Feral Imp is then destroyed by Hercules Beetle. Weevil explained to Yugi that any monster with a field power bonus has a resistance against magically enhanced attacks. Yugi played another monster face down. Weevil summoned his Basic Insect and powered him up with a Level 3 Laser Cannon and a Level 2 Power Boost. Basic Insect destroyed Yugi's face down monster. Yugi played another face down monster, but that is destroyed as well. Weevil then played a face down trap card. Yugi summoned his Dark Magician in defence mode and he played one trap face down. Basic Insect attacked the Dark Magician but Yugi activated Mirror Force to destroy all of Weevil's monsters. Weevil set another monster in defence mode. Yugi played Monster Recovery. Yugi summoned Kuriboh and attacks, but Kuriboh is destroyed as Weevil activated Cocoon of Evolution on his face down Larvae Moth. He explained to Yugi that in 5 turns he will have the ultimate monster on the field. Yugi summoned Gaia the Fierce Knight and attacked the cocoon, but the attack was deflected thanks the the field power bonus. As the cocoon begins to grow Yugi summons Curse of Dragon and equips it with the Burning Land magic card. Curse of Dragon attacks and destroys the forest surrounding the cocoon. Gaia the Fierce Knight then destroyed the cocoon. Unfortunately the Larvae Moth had reached its fourth stage of evolution. It was now a Great Moth. Yugi used Polymerization to create Gaia the Dragon Champion. As Gaia is preparing to attack Yugi notices it is getting weaker and weaker thanks to poison that is in the air. Yugi quikly activates Makiou, the Magical Mist but the damage has already been done. Great Moth destroys Gaia. Yugi then summoned Summoned Skull. Though it is usually weaker than the Great Moth is gained a power bonus from the wet field. Summoned Skull destroyed Weevil's Great Moth, reducing Weevil's life points to zero. Yugi then took Weevil's star chips and Joey took Weevil's glove.
