As this picture shows the RS400 fleet at Burghfield is booming.  We've had brilliant racing all the way through 2004 with 17+ boats entering every series and nobody looking like they can't be beaten.  This is reflected in the results by the number of different series winners throughout the year.  Having said this Rob and Janet have still had the most wins this year through their amazing light wind domination.  Although this is becoming more and more shaky with the likes of Steve Middleton and Chris Rowland (whichever one steers!), Fiona and Steve Tylecote and nearly 10 other crews all making them work harder for their glory.  

 The club championships held at Draycote in November have also given an extra agenda to the summers racing with an 18 race selection series.  At the end of this Rob and Janet Martin, Fiona and Steve Tylecote, Chris and Gill Jordan, Ian Linder and Kevin Sweetman, Tom Jones and Kris Gardner went up to Draycote to represent Burghfield at the club champs.  In all 9 races were completed with Rob and Janet coming 1st overall and Fiona and Steve Tylecote making it a Burghfield 1,2.  This meant that we came away with the team prize which you can all see on the wall by the galley in the club room.  A great photo of a fleet of 400's with Steve Middleton leading the fleet ( well almost ).
