| ABOUT THE GUMBY FAN CLUB | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Gumby Fan Club is one of Chicago's premier social organizations.� Since its origination in early 2004, the fan club has provided the fortitude and audacity necessary for many young men and women to show their appreciation for the man they admire.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The official Gumby Fan Club was created in January of 2004 as a close-knit organization of post-college coeds who realized that they needed a formal organization to better represent their beliefs and lifestyle.� It is said that the Fan Club's beginnings actually took root in the late 90's, when Gumby was at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.� There, a group of freshman boys joined the fraternity Tau Epsilon Phi and found their leader.� Cut to the year 2004 when all of the elements came together for this organization to go public.� The Fan Club was all of the sudden inundated with new wanna-be members.� This growth can be attributed to the influx of not only young 20-something women, but young 20-something men as well, clamoring to live within the confines of the Gumby lifestyle where they can fire-up, MOS, and act like a 12 year old 365 days a year.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Originally, Fan Club membership was only open to young women living in Champaign who met certain criteria established by Gumby himself. However, due to the exponential growth and success of the Gumby Fan Club in recent months, the executive board voted 4-1 to make this club public for all who want to join. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Membership in the Gumby Fan Club is a truly coveted asset to many young people in the Chicago Metro area.� Membership means that this person has truly arrived, and immediately raises his or her social status from nothing to godly.� Membership in this club also means that this person is willing to devote a certain amount of time to our chosen idol, and for some young women (mainly under the age of 21) this means spending a certain amount of time having MOS's with Gumby.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| ��������� *The Possible Girlfriend (P.G.) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The PG is a junior level of membership offered by the Gumby Fan Club, geared towards college-aged girls who have not yet entered the workforce but who wish to begin the Gumby-style socialization/dating process.� These socialization/dating processes can include hanging out at the Marquee Lounge (he can get the under-21 crowd in through the back door) or watching him not only play various sports, but excel at all sports.� Talented PG's may be selected for the Fan Club's competitive and prestigious internship program in which they are invited up to a weekend at the cabin.� If they prove themselves to be worthy there (i.e. by not being anti-social and being able to fend for herself while Gumby ignores you and plays host), then they will be eligible for a speedy upgrade to the next level.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the first level of membership for women.� This entry-level tier is reserved for perky, entry-level girls, and once a girl is accepted as a member at this level, she is officially recognized by the Fan Club as a true Gumby admirer or possibly a future fire.� Girls at this level are learning the ropes as to his schedule, what bars not to go to that he deems worthless, and food he'll eat (if you fail at this one, you don't deserve to be in the club).� Members at the T.I.T. level may append T.I.T to their last name to indicate status.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ����������� *The Always Needs A Lop (A.N.A.L) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is the first level of membership for men.� This entry-level tier is reserved for men who want to act like boys.� Once a guy is accepted as a member at this level, he is officially recognized by the Fan Club as a "friend" of Gumby's.� "Friends" at this level are not quite in the inner-circle of Gumby's close friends, but are invited to the annual lop fest at his parent's house in Naperville.� This level of membership mainly exists to allow those up-and-coming members to become actively involved in the Fan Club without having a higher status which they probably not deserving of yet.� Members at the A.N.A.L level may append A.N.A.L to their last name to indicate status. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| *The Mega Fan (M.F.r) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Fan Club's top tier membership is the M.F.r.� The M.F.r is open to both men and women who have made it all the way to the top of Gumby's social ladder.� Consideration for M.F.r membership in the organization is made only upon the recommendation of Gumby, with a majority vote in the Board of Directors.� A person who has achieved M.F.r status has the ability to do pretty much anything he/she wants, including make fun of Gumby.� Members at the M.F.r level may append M.F.r to their last name to indicate status.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| There is a wide range of ages in the Gumby Fan Club.� The majority of the members are in their mid-20s.� However, with the inception of the PG membership level and the average age of women that Gumby dates, many of the women in the club are between the ages of 17-22.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3.� Is it REQUIRED that all guy members of the club dress alike?� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A survey of the Fan Club's guy members reveals that both A.N.A.L.s and M.F.rs alike often choose to look and act like their fearless leader, but these guys often take small, subtle risks to differentiate themselves from each other.� For instance, when the armbands came out, Gumby had the more worn-in, old-school Addidas kind, while Thunder took the anti-thrift route and bought the newer Puma kind.� Similarities in clothing can also be seen in the men with their random, small, thin t-shirts.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| No, although the single lifestyle is highly regarded.� The Fan Club does understand that some relationships are bound to happen.� The average single Fan Club member is between 20 and 29 years old.� For the typical single Chicagoan, the approach of age 26-29 signals the time to retire from the college lifestyle and begin the search for a suitable spouse.� ��For the typical Gumby Fan Club member (including Gumby), the approach of age 26 signals it's time for more lopping!� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Yes.� Naperbonics is a huge part of the Gumby Fan Club vocabulary.� MOS, LTF, fire up, fire in, fire out, LP, HP, POS, IT, FOS (actually a Libertyville term), trim, broke, talent,� and lang are just a few examples of this very contagious language. If you don't know it, you won't make it past the A.N.A.L level.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| For this question, we got a direct response from Gumby.� He says, "Absolutely!
