s/v Tamara docked in Shelborne, Nova Scotia on there way to Dundee for bottom cleaning and painting.

June 22, 2004 - We had an easy crossing from Maine to Nova Scotia, making landfall in Shelborne, NS and clearing customs. We spent 2 days in Shelborne before heading for St. Peter's Canal on the southend of Cape Breton. We then proceeded to Dundee, just inside the Bras D'Or Lakes to haul out the boat and clean and paint the bottom. It took 2 days to do the boat work and then we spent days sailing in the Lake before heading for Newfoundland.

We are now in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, about half way up the west coast. There is nice marina here and we can do our last minute shopping and top up on propane and fuel. And the people here are very helpful and friendly, like everyone we meet in Newfoundland.

We take off tomorrow for Port aux Choir and then onto to Labrador. We want to keep our tradition of being in Battle Harbour, Labrador on Canada Day, July 1st.

All is going well. The weather has been pretty good most of the way. Only a few days of rain. Will try and send another email in a few weeks. Then we won't be able to email for over a month.
