This site will be under ongoing construction for a bit. Currently included on this page are two papers for a project done in an intercultural communications class and a couple of links. A variety of different views and opinions will be presented as time goes, as with everything on my pages, that you the reader may or may not like...it is presented to further the knowledge and scope of German culture and the German experience here, as well as abroad, and is left for you to decide for yourself what you wish to internalize or discard. Censorship does little outside of fuel more desire for what is verboten (forbidden). Your thoughts, ideas on improvements or links that you think should be presented are welcomed.
Hesse-Kassel Jger Korps 1775-1783-while this is primarily a re-enactor site, it does have plenty of excellent information and links about German auxilleries to the British army. Note: Numerous "Hessian" soldiers remained in America after the Revolutionary War, by some estimates as many as 10,000, stayed here in a land of people that they fought against.
-deals with the illegal trafficking of women. Not German related per se, though it is something that deserves our attention
