Well, This year (2000) I decided to ask my grandkids what they thought was best about Easter. I told them to tell me in their own words and I didn't care what they decided they wanted on this page. I would put whatever they told me. Since the kids all live out of town, it's taking a while for me to get their responses, but they will all be on here when I get their letters.

The first one is from my son's daughter, the rest are from my daughter's kids.

I think Easter is about when Jesus rose from the dead. Lindsay Age 8

I like to see my family especially Grandma and ROBBIE. Danny Age 12

I like Easter because you get candy and toys. I like it because I get to see the family and have an Easter egghunt. Bobby Age 8

I like decorating the eggs. And having the Easter bunny come. T.J. Age 3

I like to go to Aunt Debbies house to see the family. I like the Easter egg hunt. And this year was a sad one because my great-grandma died two nights ago. Alisa Age 10

I think that Easter is about my family. We get to get together with family and share stories about what has been going on in your lifes. So it is a happy time to be around our family and friends. This is updated to 2006. Alisa is now 16.

Well, there you have it. The experts agree, we need eggs and bunnies and family and being together for Easter. But also, that Easter is mostly about Jesus rising from the dead. I'm very proud of my grandkids and thank them for making this page for me. I couldn't have done it without them. As they get older and I get more grandkids, I'll try to add on to this page and see if their ideas change. But for now, Happy Easter and never forget the reason we have this holiday.
