| Robert C. Kresler [email protected] I am a graduate of the University of Illinos with a degree in Finance, Real Estate and Urban Economics. Over the last twenty years I have been directly responsible for the development and daily construction management of residential and commercial subdivisions, high-end custom homes, retail centers, medical centers, office buildings and mixed use developments in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My initial building career began in Coppell, Texas in 1986 as a general contractor of custom homes. In 1990, I moved to Southlake, Texas where I gained the majority of my building experience. While there, I joined with Kosse Maykus, another local builder, to start H. Creek Development, Incorporated. Our first venture together was the development of Southview Estates, an 87 lot residential subdivision on Carroll Avenue in Southlake. Upon successful completion, we developed Lonesome Dove Estates, a 192 lot community in north Southlake and Steiger Estates in Grapevine. In 1999 we purchased 187 acres in Rhome, Texas where we developed Ellis Homestead, a first phase 72 lot residential subdivision. Additionally, we negotiated and developed Foxboro Commons, a 17,000 square foot multi-tenant office venture. In 2000 we parted ways and I moved the development company to Rhome, Texas where I concentrated my efforts on the development of Ellis Homestead future phases. I also purchased 20 acres of raw land and developed it into Rhome Crossroads, a commercial community that is now home to a retail center, medical center, Shell station, U.S. Post Office and a professional office bulding, many of which I negotiated and constructed. With all projects I have been the personal on site manager of construction activities along with daily monitoring of project schedules and budgets. After a divorce in 2004, I closed my development/construction business. Since that time I have advanced my career as a construction manager with a major mixed use developer in the Dallas area where I was responsible for the daily construction management of a multi story residential, retail and commercial project offering a complex amenity package including waterscapes, pools, intensive landscaping, cabanas, a theater, library and excersize/recreational facilities. Recently I moved to Las Vegas and am working with Las Vegas Rod and Custom assisting in the fabrication and design of a number of custom and restoration auto projects. I have always been interested in design and fabrication and am enjoying my new career. I enjoy renovating homes, and working on old exotic, luxury and period (60-70s) muscle cars. I have an intuitive flair for design, project management and time control. I enjoy spearheading challenging projects. I am quite good at being creative in response to obstacles and pride myself on turning potential problems into opportunities. I prefer live theater to television and prefer being active to lounging. I love the water and enjoy jet skiing. I used to golf quite frequently and would enjoy getting back into it. I prefer antiques to modern and lean toward old school music, paticulary soft jazz and blues. I am also interested in tournament poker play and consider myself to be quite proficient (i.e I win more than I lose). Now that the kids are grown, I am open to new and challenging avenues for my knowledge and talents. "In life, you either believe you can or you believe you can't. Either way, you are gonna be right". |
