Night On Earth

My first night with him
You held my hand
The moon slivered quickly against purple
The rains upon torn graves
Uprooted, taken, brute force upon page upon page upon
Lights in the hills
Burning black spots into the sky
Watching, the Goddess descended
Gleaming like irridescent minerals
Stroked our hearts, sighing
Eyes into eyes
There goes Ishtar
Upon her ropes of silver and constellations.

You touched my face
The stars glimmered and shot away
The clouds shifting breezy into the universe
Blown, floated, soft like thunder inside thunder
We're out too late
Roaring and blundering into our hearts
Watching, the God descended
Black, like charred paintings scored with coal
There goes Zeus
Mounted on his chariot of purple night.

We blundered in the grass
The dew wet our motions against our skins
The dawn pulled down like thin pearl cloth
The light glowed, flickered, rested on the earth
Furtive sounds in the air
Sighing, breathing into my body
Watching, the fire descended
Brilliant and gold. like spring into summer
Lit your eyes, smiling
Look, here is Sol
Upon his waves of pink and blue.
