All or Nothing

Epiphany
We are All or Nothing,
Beginning as tepid drops of blankness
A carte blanche of human-ness
In the Great Sea of the Universe

Birth becomes our bathysphere
Our souls tendrils confined within
Thoughts and feelings end and begin
Inside this crystal globe.

Some will never notice
The sad prison Life incarcerates
Some will become indoctrinates
In schools designed to divide.

Yet others long for freedom,
And weep inside their spheres
Shedding such bitter tears
And withering alone.

But some see All or Nothing
And fight ethereal boundaries
And will make friends of enemies
With truth the common goal.

It really starts so minute
A hairline crack, fractures of doubt
Weaken the bubbles integrity throughout
And let in a slit of Light.

Soon, the crack becomes a maw
It seems too horrible to contemplate
What lies outside this gaping gate
Is Unknown and Beyond.

Here, some will retreat again
And live out their lives in misery
Having seen the beauty of Eternity
And fallen victim to their fear.

But I have touched that space
My tendrils long to reach through the void
Caress the simplicity, the violence, the joy
And learn Im not alone.

Its here I make the effort
To leave my confines, or bring the All within
With love I bid old thoughts farewell, with love I begin
Such sweet release, I float away.
