| The Fish Don't Mind To all of you who live in the important areas You affluent folks that keep us all in line I'm just here to let you know it's alright Keep up the good work The fish don't mind So please feel free to continue Those of you who water your lawns in the rain Keep it up Your lawn is important The fish understand that Those of you who hose down your driveways when it gets too hot The fish understand They know that hot asphalt is bad for your car tires So feel free to continue The fish don't mind Flush your bidets Fill your swimming pools Make sure that cute little cement cherub Has a steady supply to pee playfully into your garden The fish want you to be happy The less water they have the better in fact They enjoy the challenge The fishes know they've had an easy time of it until recently Having the freedom to evolve and grow and move as they please For so many years Many of them regret having become so complacent And thank you for helping them with your new challenges So please, shrink up the oceans Give those fishes something to do The fish know they've been freeloaders all these years They're quite eager to sprout arms and legs Crawl out of the water Join the work force And get a pool of their own one day They want to chip in So keep up the good work folks The fish don't mind |
