From My Perspective (dirt and scars)

It was a wonderfully unique perspective
I sat at a distance
In a crowd
Anonymous
I watched your every move
Emotion
You painted a vivid picture
With those delicate little tools of yours
Not a pleasant one
Or an unexpected one
But one that just re-awoke a knowledge of vanity
That I had forgotten
Since the last time I watched television
It was a wonderfully unique perspective
Viewing you
Viewing yourself
Applying wads of unnecessary cosmetics
A new, false lease on youth
For you
A new, disturbing lease on voyeurism
For myself
You were completely unaware
Lost in the vast depths of your tiny hand held mirror
Pretending to admire as you tore yourself to shreds
Wishing little cosmetic prayers
That youll stay this beautiful forever
And not melt away in the sun
It was a wonderfully unique perspective
That made me appreciate dirt and scars a little more
