Page 2 of Applying Stationery to Outlook Express

This way is what I call the "old fashioned way" but if you want to use any kind of scripting in your stationery. This is the way you must do it. When I say scripting, I mean stuff like making your images scroll on your stationery and making images swirl around your screen, etc.

Ok, let's say that you have saved a stationery script from somewhere and you want to use your images, backgrounds, midi, font, color & whatever else.

First you need to make sure you saved it in either HTML or Text format. If you saved it in HTML format then open your Internet Explorer and then open the HTML file that you saved. Next you need to click on "view" up top and then click on "source". This will make your notepad open up with all the HTML coding . All you do here is plug in your images and stuff.

When you are done, click on "save as" and save it to your stationery folder but make sure you change your extension from ".txt" to ".html"

Follow the same steps as in the first lesson to apply your stationery in O.E.

"New Mail", "Format", "apply stationery"

That's it. I didn't go into any real detail in doing this. If you don't know anything about scripts and stationery, it would be advisable to find a stationery group to join. There are lots of them on the net & they are very helpful. Most give you lessons with instructions to follow. Check them out, you will be amazed at what you can learn : )
