This is a professional website packed with all sorts of information from different periods in time including the Middle Ages. I think that this website is helpful because it covers everything from Early Medieval Law to The Fall of the Carthaginian Empire. It goes over everything they cover in the book except on some of the issues it extends the text and tells you more than the book. It talks about the Medieval Churchs and how they came to be and they use a lot of the vocabulary words that we found in the book under the same section. This website goes into a lot of detail about all the different sections it covers and I think it would be great for studying for a test to doing a research paper. It uses a lot of specific events and tells a lot of information about each topic. Richard Hooker, http://www.wsu.edu:8080/~dee/CHRIST/EUROPE.HTM, October 12, 2004 This website is about the Medieval Churches, how they originated, who was the main factor of the churches, and the effect that the church had on the people of Europe. It has tons of information about important aspects of the Church and important people that had an affect on the Church. It tells why the church was so important to the people and why the religion was so important to the people of Europe during this time period. This site has so much information that you dont even need, but it has anyways, just in case you want to learn anything and everything about the start of Christian Churches in the Middle Ages. Nancy Troutman, http://www.cs.indiana.edu/statecraft/magna-carta.html, October 12, 2004 This website has a link that is on the Magna Carta. It shows what is on the document and explains why it was conceived and what it had an effect on. King John was forced to sign this document because he had failed to defend his country against Normandy. He had raised the taxes, and his administration of justice was terrible. In January 1215 a group of barons demanded a charter of liberties as a safeguard against the Kings behavior. This website tells you about everything that is on the Magna Carta, and what restrictions were made. It definitely has more than you need, but it would be helpful to use during some kind of project or report. You can definitely find everything you need to know about the Magna Carta on this website. |
