This website really shows the steps and the process of the Athenian Democracy. I think that it helps with our curriculum a lot because it covers some of the information that we should know but the book fails to cover. The Athenian Democracy was the first Democracy ever, if they didnt come up with it and the system, we probably wouldnt have such a good system now, and we would probably still be controlled by a King or Queen.  The article also compares the past Democracy and the present form of Democracy and how it has changed over the years and how it has stayed the same. It says how all the Constitutional power was in the hands of the people.  Its shows how the word democracy, is formed from other Greek words, which I found educational and interesting.  This site was a great site for educational reading and to further my knowledge about the Athenian Democracy and Democracy in general. It tells how Pericles the greatest leader of ancient Athens, was one of the most important people on the Board during with 5th century.

This article covers about everything you ever wanted to know about Pericles. I think that an interesting part of this site is that it tells about how hard he worked for Athens and how much he cared. It wasnt just his life-work it was his passion, he loved his property and his family life. It also says some stuff about his family. His father was a rising general, and is on the list of Archons or regents elected for life, and his mother was famous throughout the Greek world. His family claimed descent from the family of the old King Nestor of the Trojan War, which had migrated to Athens. I think that a lot of the information that is covered is not in the book and I think that its good to learn more about the think that you are studying so I enjoyed this website a lot.

I really think that this website is helpful if you are looking for more of a timeline website, but at the same time it explains many different battles and wars in great detail. A lot of the time reading websites about battles and wars are the same no matter what website your reading, but this one puts it into text that keeps you reading it. Website that arent right out of text books are more interesting that have text book writing, that way when youre reading it you actually become interested and you actually learn the material. Also when you are reading about wars you often find them to be boring, but this website puts it into a perspective that allows you to picture it or imagine it in your head, which helps you learn it better, which helps you learn it better.
