Unresolved World Problems
I believe that the greatest unsolved problem in the world today is the deadly viruses that are killing million and millions of people. Even diseases that are present here in the United States are killing people in foreign countries. Even if we have a cure for the disease we might now be able to get it to all the different countries that need it. The Ebola virus had been around since 1976 when it was discovered in Africa and it is still killing people. AIDS is another example that is killing off millions. AIDS was discovered in 1981 in a remote area of central Africa and now has spread to all continents. In the United States we are fortunate that we are able to get medicine and help if we have HIV/AIDS, but people that live in Africa are not always as fortunate. There is no vaccine to protect against it, and there it is presently incurable. Even if there was a cure for some of these diseases most of the countries that house AIDS cannot afford the medical care that they really need. There are so many hidden killers in the world that some people arent even aware of. They are all different which makes them so dangerous. Even with all the killing from war and biological weapons and terrorism, people are dieing one after another for no reason. They are just dieing because we have no cures for these diseases. Maybe if other nations had the money they would be able to find a cure for the Ebola virus or HIV/AIDS. More and more people are getting infected with these diseases. If they dont know they have it they give it to someone else. People are dieing because of them but they are giving it to more people without knowing. I would have to conclude this paragraph by saying that I definitely think that killer viruses are the biggest unsolved problem that we have in the world today.
I agree with the world hunger idea. I think that world hunger is a huge problem. Most of the third world countries dont have enough money to produce or buy the food that they need.  No matter how much money we give them people will still be dieing of hunger. Other countries dont help out as much as the US does. Were using our money to try to keep Africa alive. People are being born into a community that doesnt have the recourses that they need to survive. In Africa they eat whatever it is that they are given even if I had touched the ground or it is old. Some people might be dieing from getting sick or being poisoned too. Even though we are helping them it will not last forever, it will help some of the people but no matter how much money we put into it, how can it help every single person? It will make the problem better but it can never go away. The US might not even have the money that Africa needs to fix its hunger problem. To feed all the people of the country will take millions and millions of dollars. Even though terrorism is a huge problem in the world, innocent people are getting killed for no reason other than their government and country cannot afford a good lifestyle. There isnt much that they can do about it either; they are just starving to death. Those commercials that show the children from villages in Africa, that are poor, and their parents are dead, and they are asking you to give money to the child to help them get food, or clothes. Those commercials are showing people how it is there, and what they have to deal with day after day. Sometime we think that we are unfortunate and that we are unlucky, but compared to those who live in some of the third world countries have it far worse than us.
