      The details that the speakers uses to explain why "love is not all" are that it is not a roof against
      the rain, it cannot fill the thickened lung with breath, or clean blood, or set a fractured bone. I
      think that all of the details that the speaker uses in this story are details that cannot be helped or
      changed just because of love.
3.   What seems to be the speaker's overall opinion of love?
      I think that the speakers overall opinion of love is that it cannot help you when you are sinking, or       keep you from starving, or mend bones, but many people are "making friends with death" for
      lack of love; and even though the speaker might "sell love for peace" or "trade a memory for
      food," they dont think that they will.
