Democracy
Democracy is considered by some people to be a terrible form of government, but I think that is the most efficient form of government. In democracy there is a president and people that are in charge, but the people of the country decide who is in power, not the person in power. I think that democracy is definitely the most efficient form of government; it makes it so we being the people are able to choose almost everything about the government and what happens in our country. Democracy is a huge advantage for our country and others who have it. When you think about it, the president does not run our country we do. He is just carrying out the orders that we are giving him. In a democracy we have a lot more rights, than in other forms of government. We have so many freedoms, when other countries might have none; we have the freedom of speech and press. I think that democracy has worked for us in the past, since the beginning, and I think it will keep working for us in the future. There are always people that do not agree with the president on some issues but they get to look forward to the next election when they get to pick another president that they feel is suitable for the job. If we did not have a democracy you would have to be stuck with the same person even if you did not agree with them or their beliefs. I think that if we change the type of government that we have in the United States everyone would go crazy because we are so used to having a democracy, and it works for us.


I agree with Jason also. Democracy has been around forever and apparently it is working because if it wasn�t someone would have come up with another form of government by now.  When people complain about the leaders of our country I wonder if they ever take into consideration how they became in the place of office. Through all the bad times when everyone thought we wouldn�t last we did. Since we have such a strong government and background we know what to do in almost every situation. I also agree that if democracy was such a bad form of government why would other countries be asking us to help them fix their government to make it more like ours? Obviously it has worked for a long time, and when someone comes around with a new idea, and a new form of government that is better than ours, the country is going to fall apart because we have been doing the same thing forever and it�s a little to late for any changes. Some people complain about our government but I wonder if they would still be complaining if they heard the other options that we have to offer. There is no such thing as perfect so I guess this is a close to perfect as we�re going to get. Would anyone really want one single person deciding ever aspect of their life? If we had a King of Queen that ruled our country they could do whatever they pleased, which means that we probably wouldn�t have all of the freedoms that we have today. I truly believe that Democracy is the best form of government not because it�s the government of our country of because we�ve been living with it forever, but because I cannot imagine a country running as smoothly as ours without a democracy.
