Happiness Is Biting Your Parrot Back!
As cute as these guys are, birds are very inquisitive, smart and a handfull at times.  They'll keep you on your toes and make you laugh.  My feathered friends make life interesting, the house loud and are the cause of much laughter. They are too smart for MY own good sometimes!!! I hope you enjoy the photos and links I post here.
Troll and Radar- Grey Cheeked Parakeets, affectionately dubbed the "Evil Twins"   They're both 10+ years old

Grey Cheek Parakeets are part of the "Brotogeris" family.  Not only are they endangered in the wild, they're getting scarce in the pet trade as not too many people are breeding them.  There is a group of people out there that is trying to breed the Brotogeris family as a whole as  well as increasing the number of the Grey Cheeks.

You can meet them on the Brotogeris list on Yahoo Groups. There you can exchange stories about YOUR Brotos, get good information, tap into the knowledge that the breeders have and much, much more.  Click to get to the list to join--

Not only can you find tons of good information on this list, you can find a pet Broto for yourself or if you have one to place, there are many people eager to give one a good home as a pet or put them into a breeding program.  A terrific place to learn about Grey Cheeks is Beverly Marsh's webpage:
click here. (you can also see a picture of Troll and Radar on her site!-- just don' t tell them, they might start demanding a salary!)
The Clown--
Pepper- 8yr old Yellow Nape Amazon
Yes, Pepper DOES talk! She sings, laughs, rings like the phone, greets you when you come home, and says 'goodbye' when you leave.
When you laugh, she joins you, when you turn the music up, she gets loud, and she loves to dance, throw her toys around and hang upside down while roughousing w/her playthings.
Considering that these animals have the intelligence and mentality of a 2-3 year old child, life is never the same after you bring one home to share your life
.

I can talk, can you fly?
On the next page, you will find more photos of the birds as well as music links and information, so check it out!
Go ahead and send the birdies some mail!!!
