Sarah

gOOgie and her (then)fiance (now) husband, Joel
Sarah and I met online over a year or so ago, but we didn't really get to know each other until recently. Funny how some friendships start. Sarah and I would hang out in the main room of this talker and just rip on each other back and forth, among others that were logged on at the time. Apparently, all that picking on one another actually lead us to having normal conversations. Like I said, funny how some things happen, huh? So that's where things began.... :)
It got to the point where we would look forward to running into each other online, mail each other if we couldn't make it or if the other one never showed up and we were worried. Needless to say, Sarah became a really good friend. It's a different kind of friendship than I've ever had with anyone else...very new to me. I dunno how else to describe it, really. I guess you could say that Sarah and I formed a "sisterly" friendship. Which is kewl because she's an only child and I grew up with a pain in the butt little brother, hehe. So, having a little sister seemed pretty kewl to me! (at the time...but now I see my mistake. LOL)
The more Sarah and I talked, the more we found out we had alot in common. We actually were bitching about the talker that we met on and decided to start our own talker, which is now combined with another friend of our's talker. Yeah, I know, we are weird. I must say, we haven't done too bad of a job, but of course we are waiting for it to grow with more ressies. If you'd like to check it out telnet to join the fun at whitestar.soark.net 1717. We will look forward to seeing you there!!!
Needless to say, Sarah's an excellent listener and she's someone that I've come to trust over the past few months. She always lets me bitch to her and usually takes my side (just like sisters should!) about everything which makes it all worth while! Of course, there's downfalls to having a lil sister too. At times, she can be a pain in the butt. Like right now for instance...I've told her that I have a surprise and she won't stop bugging me long enuff to let me finish this silly page. BE PATIENT! (I know you don't have any,...but as a fellow teacher(which is another thing we have in common)...you need to get some, quick! HEH :)) But I don't think I would trade her for anything in the world. She's come to mean a lot to me and I think I picked a good choice as a sister! (Too bad I couldn't do that with my actual sibling! Just kidding, Kev!) Hopefully, sometime soon we will actually talk to one another instead of playing phone tag, but for the time being I look forward to chatting with her every morning during the week. Thanks for being there for me Sarah, you're awesome...I love ya!
Sarah and Joel got themselves married on October 13, 2001 and she didn't even invite me. What a meanie!!!! :) Just kidding, googie. Anyway, below is a picture of her and Joel on her wedding day. Don't they look happy? Almost a year later, I've gotten news from Sarah that her and Joel have bought and moved into their house, are looking at getting a puppy and starting a family. Awww...innit that cute? *barf* Kidding hun! Glad things are working out for you both...good luck with everything!
