Robyn!

One of the first pictures I ever saw of Robyn

Robyn and I met online about 2 years ago. I remember her logging on and us having silly conversations in the lobby and eventually one of us started talking to the other privately and from there a great friendship formed. Funny thing is when I met Robyn, she was only a days drive away from me but we didn't discover that until about 2 weeks before she was to move to Kansas City, MO to live with some friends. Life's funny sometimes, huh? So, as bad luck would have it we didn't get to meet before her move and then she disappeared for a month or two.

When she finally resurfaced, we caught up with one another and started chatting almost daily. It's thanks to our friend Jay that we are the good friends that we are today. Robyn came to visit me in Feb of 2000 for a few days. We had a great time and hit it off just as well in person as we had online. She met some of my crazy friends, but we also enjoyed some time to ourselves. I didn't want her to go :( But have no fear, I visited her in KC at the end of March of the same year. Met her crazy friends, and endulged into the "big city" life for a week. I had an awesome time and again, I didn't want to be away from her. Eventually in May, she moved to PA and stayed with me.

For a while things were great, but she was miserable here. Let's just say where I'm from is no where near the big city life that she came from. She missed "home" and her friends and I didn't blame her. So after a rough month and a half, she ended up heading back to KC. Things with us were rough for a while, but after 5 months or so I decided enough was enough and sent her a Christmas Present. That's when things started looking up again. :) So, needless to say, Robyn and I have regained our friendship even though we don't get to talk as often as we'd like anymore. We used to be on the same schedule when she was first in KC, but then she had to go and get a day job...silly girl. Yes,if you couldn't tell I miss her and the times we had, but I cherish the memories daily.

During the roadtrip I took with Kathy in June 2003, we stopped in Kansas City, MO and spent the night with Robyn. It was really great seeing here again even though it resurfaced a lot of the things from the past. We both made it though and had a great night just hanging out, going to the bar, playing pool and meeting some of her crazy friends. Let's not wait so long to see each other again, huh?

Thank you, Robyn, for everything. You've been a wonderful part of my life and opened my eyes to new and different things. Things I probably never would have discovered with anyone else. You are a one of a kind, that's for sure...I've never met anyone like you, nor will I ever again. I hope we continue to be great friends lady diva! I miss and love you with all of my heart. Keep in touch, darling!
