Jean is another one of my pledge brothers that I met right around the same time I met Suzi. Jean and I didn't become friends right off the bat...it wasn't until after the initial corrupting that we starting hitting it off really well.
Jean and I had been hanging out with a few of our friends and we decided that we were going to TP someone's car. Hehe..aren't we nice. I was a lil against it at first, but Jean kinda gave me that initial push and well, what can I say. It's thanks to her that I'm as evil as I am now? Ok, well it's not all her fault, but she played a good part in it, that's for sure!
Jean became my, "lets stay up all night and do homework while we bullshit buddy." Heh. We had plenty of long nights like that. Jean and I would walk into town during the summer that she stayed with me while she was taking classes. During our walks, I would frequently be pulling leaves offa trees and thus the giraffe background here, because that's what she started calling me. And do you believe that the name still sticks, every once in a while she'll sneak that in when we're talking (which doesn't happen to often anymore).
Some things happened to tear apart our friendship for a while, which was rough on the both of us. We stopped hanging out for a long time and through the grapvine I heard that Jean was going to me a mom. I was so happy for her, but as circumstances would have it, I didn't let her know until she came to me with the information. As time went on, we got comfortable enuff to start talking again and hanging out once in a while. It wasn't until she was back at home near Philly that we had a long talk online and got things worked out. Thank goodness, it sucked going without one of my bestfriends for that long. It was good to have her back in my life!
Anyway, that's getting ahead of myself. That converstaion didn't happen until the summer after Jean gave birth to my "neice", who is a cutie. Leeann was born on January 10, 1999. She's a doll. I went to visit Jean and Leeann in November of that year on the weekend of Jean's birthday. It was a great visit, but too short.
The last time I saw Jean was at our college graduation in December of 99. It's been too long my friend...we must get together soon. Thanks for all the fun times that we've shared and all the things (good and bad) that you've taught me over the 5 years that I've known you. I miss you like crazy and hope to see you soon. Give Leeann a great big hug for me!!!!
