Seek Ye First
What exactly are you seeking today,
the kingdom of God or something for
which you can pay?
The Kingdom of God
and His righteousness should be first,
is it that or something else
for which you thirst?
The Kingdom of God
is assuredly ours to be had;
that we would want anything else
is so very sad.
God promises us
that our needs will be met,
without our having to beg,
borrow, or even fret.
Just as He provides
for the fowls of the air each day,
He�ll provide for all
seeking to live His way.
Take the lilies of the field
which neither toil nor spin;
yet Solomon in all his glory
wasn�t arrayed as one of them.
If God so clothe the grass
of the field which tomorrow shall not be,
than how much more
shall He do for you and me?
Those who seek shall indeed find,
not only the Kingdom of God
but absolute peace of mind.
Not having to worry not the slightest bit,
because if it isn�t given of God
then we never needed it.
