Bear Ye One Another's Burdens

| Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. ( Galatians 6: 2 )

Burdens are also defined as 'weights' carried, which can easily beset a Christian, and hinder them in life's race. The yoke of the Lord is easy and His burden is light. We don't have to carry our heavy burdens. Our Lord will carry them when we cast all our cares upon Him.

There are weights or burdens of worry, anxiety, doubt, fear, intimidation, hurts, and many other things which should not be carried by Christians. These can become strongholds, if allowed to stay in a life. The Lord has promised His burden will not weigh us down, and He will lift us up. He will give us rest, peace, faith, confidence, love, joy and be with us always.

We are to care one for another and bear one another's burdens. In doing so, we fulfill the law of Christ. If we look around us, we see that so many are going through trials and have problems in their lives. Many suffer from sickness or sorrow. It seems when we compare the problems of others to our own, we find how very blessed we truly are. Our problems seem small, when we hear of the trials of others. However, we know we can help bear the burdens of others by taking them to the Lord in prayer. John 13: 34 says, I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.

A community of love is rooted in the redemptive work of Christ on Calvary's cross. Because He loved us so, we are to love one another. God's Word tells us all men will know we are disciples of Christ, if we have love one toward another. Love is an action word and will go the extra mile to help another. It thinks no evil, is longsuffering and kind. Love will make every effort to bear another's burdens as we walk in God's love. May we look around us to the problems of others and take them to the Lord in prayer. A Christian should never have to bear a burden alone. We are all fellow strugglers. We can come along beside another and let them know they can make it with the Lord's help and one another.

Jesus bore our sins on Calvary's cross because He loved us. When we see one struggling with the burden of sin, we can help them pray and point them to the Savior. He will give them His yoke which is easy, and burden, which is light in exchange for their burdens. When we understand just how heavy the burdens of others may be, then we have found the true key to compassion.

True compassion is feeling someone else's pain and helping bear their burdens. As we help others, Christ helps us, and we find a burden shared is a lighter load. It's great to know we have one to give all our burdens to. We can take them to the cross and leave them with our wonderful Savior! The God of the mountain is still God of every valley in our lives. Jesus is always with us and is worthy of all praise.
Blessings In Christ,

1 ~ Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 ~ Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 ~ For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 ~ But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 ~ For every man shall bear his own burden.
6 ~ Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
7 ~ Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 ~ For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 ~ And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 ~ As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
11 ~ Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
12 ~ As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 ~ For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14 ~ But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 ~ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16 ~ And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 ~ From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
18 ~ Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
