The Unknown Tongue
The Beauty Of
The Spiritual Language

When the Spirit falls
And fills you to over full,
And you feel complete abandon
In His hands, you become a willing tool.

He never crosses your freedom.
He enters when surrender is complete,
When you are in worship seeking
And you're at the Masters feet ...

Removing self to give _expression
Of His love, in prayer,
Be it at the altar, in the chapel,
Or the bedroom; no matter where.

He comes at your invitation only.
For, He wants to be with you.
Praying words of worship or request,
His Spirit begins to refresh and renew.

When human words fail me,
I want to say them right.
From the depths of the heart of me,
His Spirit gives them new light.

From deep inside,
With naught anything to hold them back,
Comes the groaning from the depths;
Tongues of fire. In Him, there is no lack.

In the prayer closet
(Which is the place of your inner most being),
Where there dwells the living God,
His presence is releasing and freeing ...

Up and out of the trembling lips,
Sounds only the Spirit will understand,
When He holds you tenderly and
You're in His unseen, unchanging, hand.

The experience is a wondrous thing
That quickens the searching heart of me,
A prayer language all my own;
Refreshing, renewing, setting my words free.

Come, sweet Spirit of the Living God,
Anoint with a language of adoration.
Let it spill forth in liberty
As you give voice to my supplication.

Let the words, that are deep within,
No longer stay inside.
I give you worship, in praise,
For this beautiful language you have supplied.

How loving you are as
In your own image we are molded.
I praise you, with hands lifted up,
And, sometimes, quietly folded.

This spiritual language you have sent
That gives words to how I feel,
Flooding and bubbling out;
A sign of the Holy Spirit's seal.

I give you all honor and praise.
I will lift your banner high.
When the Amen is said, at last,
May I rest with a contented sigh.

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
( 1 Corinthians 14 )(KJV)

God doesn't come to us unless we call and tell Him to come into our hearts.
