On Bended Knee
My Dear Father,
I call out to you on bended knee
I need your wisdom to guide me
You alone know my anguish
On you I know I can depend.
I need your love, forgiveness,
Encouragement and a helping hand.
Please be patient of my weakness,
I need a friend that understands.
Your guidance is what I need,
As I'm feeling such distress,
My soul is so heavy burdened,
I need to lean upon your breast.
Strengthen my faith, dear Father,
Each and every hour throughout,
Help me not to worry or fret
Control is Yours I won't forget.
I want to ask you please to keep,
My family and friends safe.
Give comfort to all in need,
May our thoughts be ever on Thee.
I thank you Father, for listening
As you already know my needs,
For giving me precious comfort,
While down on bended knee.
