Becomes The Ruler Of The Heart
We're born into this world not really knowing
what our greatest, deepest need is going to be.
And we think the whole world is all about us
and the desires of the flesh that we see.
Then the knowledge of our spirit-man grows until we see
that we are sinners in need of a Savior.
The Spirit breaks our hearts until we cry for salvation
and repent of our sinful behavior.
Then the place in our hearts that chased our own will
starts hearing the direction of His Spirit.
His Word gives us life...He speaks to us in prayer
until we follow His voice when we hear it.
We physically grow and our lives go through changes
but our fellowship with Christ holds us strong.
We're tossed to and fro but the one thing we know
is the Master to whom we belong.
And we realize this life was never just about us
but rather about God's infinite glory.
Because the death & resurrection of the King of all kings
happened once, to become our life story.
Then our soul finds great pleasure not in worldly pursuits
but in true worship that cleanses the soul.
Because the Ruler of Heaven is now the ruler of the heart
for He forgives and makes all things whole.
