Another Lesson In Prayer

Lord, thank you for a new revelation
Of my prayer life, today.
How is it, I never listened before
How to pray Your way?

How many times
Have I brought petitions
For miracles, in the life of others,
Trying not to pray in vain repetitions?

As I started praying, this morning,
Your spirit flooded me with the very thought
You had seen this very battle before time began.
T'was nothing new I've brought.

I heard you speaking to me,
"I appreciate the appeal, from you.
But, are you really seeking out my will
Or did you pray your instructions
Of what you think or feel?

My ways are not yours, always.
Just bring the request and leave it here.
I will work it to the good.
My way is pure. Have no fear."

"My child you see things differently,
Not the same as I do.
But, I can be trusted for the right answer.
I don't need instructions, now, from you."

You are redeemed by my grace,
A child of my love, but still ~
Let Me move, in Holiness and truth.
Let go and let me move as I will."

To say I was humbled
With the impact of His word;
He pressed my spirit, with all love,
In a way I had never heard.

I'm so sorry, Lord. I do forget,
With you there is nothing impossible or new.
I need only bring the request
And leave the how or way to you.

From now on, help me, Lord,
Learn to ask, with out telling just how
To accomplish your precious ending;
Starting right here and now.

I need to be humbled, often.
For, sometimes, I feel I know what's best
When the truth lies in your hands,
Each and every request.

Help me to be a better warrior
That knows the way to your throne of grace.
Then, help me leave the burdens there;
Not to instruct my way, just to state my case.

Thank you for loving me enough
To show me the better way;
To seek to know your heart much better,
In all matters, as I pray.

I give you praise, from humbled lips.
Blessed be your name, my Lord, my King.
Let my prayers be left with you,
For your will is perfect;
For what ever I may bring.

And, when I say amen, I will know
That, in your hands, 'tis done;
That Your grace still abounds
For me and every one.

AMEN AND AMEN, AND AMEN.

~ 15 ~ Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

~ 17 ~ Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

We all have a lot to learn about how to pray to our Heavenly Father.
