He Promised
Poetic thoughts from Isaiah 43
Jesus promised to be with you,
when you pass through the waters
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned,
Neither shall the flame kindle upon you,
our Lord is in control,
Jesus is there, take His yoke
upon you; and of Him learn.
He is the Lord thy God, the Holy One
of Israel who says, "fear not."
God is with you always and has created you
for His glory and delight,
He maketh a way in the sea
and a path in mighty waters,
He shall do a new thing which shall spring forth,
He is there in the darkest night.
He blotteth out thy transgressions,
and no more remembers your sin,
Before the day was, "I Am" was He;
there was never another,
Jesus will work in your behalf,
He is your dearest Friend,
To you He will be faithful, our Lord will stick
closer than any friend, or brother.
He said, "I will never leave you,"...
God will never forsake you in this life
Jesus is Lord, beside He;
there is no other Savior,
He delivers those who call on Him
from sin and from strife,
The Lord thy God will keep you safe,
you are secure if in His grace and favor.
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
