Steps To Heaven
My first step to Heaven
was down on my knees.
You can give to Him your burdens
the instant that you see.
The road was paved to Heaven
as Jesus on the cross,
died, and suffered,
that we may not be lost.
He loved me and saved me,
I did not know why,
He gave me a mansion,
that money could never buy.
When the narrow path leads
to valleys deep and wide.
Always remember, Jesus
is walking by your side.
If you need someone to guide you
Jesus hears your cries.
He will touch your heart, and wipe
the tears from your dimming eyes.
Sometimes we drift too far
from the shore, wandering in sin,
but through his wonderous mercy,
He has power to forgive again.
A mansion is reserved
for those that believe,
and one day I'm planning to go.
There will be no more burdens,
when we reach that land.
Our garments will be whiter than snow.
