Awaiting





I�m awaiting God�s answer
to my heartfelt prayers;
I�m assured it�s coming
because of how deeply God cares.


I�m assured by the promises
I can read in His Word,
and because of praise
filled testimonies I�ve heard.


I�m assured due to answers
I�ve received before,
but most of all God given faith
just can�t be ignored.



I prayed sincerely His will
not mine to be done,
offering heartfelt gratitude
in the name of the Son.


I sought for His desires
to be recognized and obeyed,
and I surrendered
wholeheartedly as I prayed.


Now waiting doesn�t come easy
I�m anxious it�s true,
but God knows what�s best
and His timing is true.



I�ll recall the saints of old
and how their needs were met;
I�ll ask God to help me
neither fuss nor fret.


I�ll count my Blessings
while surrendering my desires,
and to God�s perfect
will I�ll diligently aspire.


I�ll offer heartfelt Thanks
with every waking thought,
while endeavoring continuously
to do as I ought.



Thank You Heavenly Father
for hearing and answering prayer,
Thank You for the assurances
that You care.


Thank You for promises
on which we can stand,
Thank You for letting us
surrender to Your hands.


Thank You even if Your will
is different from mine,
I know whatever You do
is best for all time.



I know Your will is perfect
without question or debate,
whatever it will be
I obediently await.
